One of the largest international Indian film festivals outside of India, the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2021, has officially released its nominations for its annual awards presentation. The Victorian Government sponsors the festival, which is an annual event held in Melbourne, Australia, that showcases the finest of Indian cinema and the subcontinent.
Due to the global pandemic, the IFFM 2021 has gone virtual in its 12th edition. This event will celebrate diversity and the greatest of Indian cinema in all of its forms, with over 100 films being screened over the event. Aside from the screenings, the festival will also feature the much-anticipated ‘IFFM Awards Ceremony.’ This year, more names than ever before will be inducted into the IFFM Roll of Honour, as they have widened their boundaries with new nominee titles to commemorate the Indian cinema industry holistically.
The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2021 jury comprises members like global award-winning film editor Jill Bilcock, one of Australia’s renowned actors Vince Colosimo and multi-award-winning director Geoffrey Wright.
