My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 21 Recap
Here, the confrontation between Toga and Ochaco is a moment unlike anything seen before. It can hardly be called a fight, as Ochaco never intended to harm or kill Toga. Instead, she reached out to her with empathy and acceptance, choosing compassion over conflict. That brief moment of understanding was enough to soothe the vengeance-filled villainess and bring her inner turmoil to rest.
Unfortunately, the situation looks grim for Ochaco, who has lost a dangerous amount of blood after being stabbed by Toga. Despite her injury, she continues to use her quirk and even ensures the safety of the other heroes. Having finally met someone who genuinely cares for her, Toga refuses to let Ochaco’s sacrifice go in vain.

The highlight of the episode, however, comes in its latter half, where All Might faces off against All For One. The unyielding spirit of a hero shines brightly through All Might, who, despite being quirkless, steps into battle with unwavering resolve. Armed with nothing but his courage and a few advanced gadgets, he knows he may only delay All For One briefly, but that fleeting moment of resistance is enough for him. With determination in his heart and a smile that inspires hope, he charges into battle against his lifelong nemesis.
What’s fascinating is how All For One, despite being far stronger, still finds himself unsettled by All Might’s confidence. It shows that true strength lies not in power or vengeance, but in the will to protect others.

My Hero Academia Final Season Episode 1 Review

This particular episode begins with a thorough recap of the previous season’s last episode. And right off the bat, things seem dire for the heroes, with everyone getting overwhelmed by their opponents. Though the situation is like this, All Might is not hopeless, and he fights on with the help of his suit. This suit is equipped with quirks from everyone in class A, and that helps him keep All For One at bay. All Might’s plan is simple: he must exhaust All For One so much that his regression to his younger self speeds up, and he destroys himself in the process.
However, All For One is too intelligent to fall for something like this, and that becomes clear when he overpowers All Might later in the battle. On the other hand, Kunieda is terrorising heroes like Fat Gum and Aoyama. He knows very well that without a belt, Aoyama’s rays leak out, and he cannot properly fight as a result. But he doesn’t need to because at that exact moment, Toru comes and utilises her own powers to channel Aoyama’s rays directly on Kunieda.

Back at the main battle, All Might completely dominates All For One in a one-sided way. Though this also affects All Might adversely, he does not care as he can finally see his enemy crumble. Even the capacitor that has been supplying power to All Might self-destructs due to the huge output and the reemergence of All For One, this time even younger and glowing.
Verdict

This episode starts on an epic note, playing right into the nostalgia and delivering a powerful episode. The high stakes are obvious from the battles, and the seriousness of the situation is also evident. I liked the episode, but appreciated the last twist of an unexpected arrival even more.
