Spy x Family Season 2 Episode 4 Review: In Spy x Family Season 2 Episode 4, Anya’s ambition to collect more Stella Stars intensifies, which leads to a series of comedic events. Spy x Family Season 2 (スパイファミリー) is directed by Takahiro Harada and written by Ichirō Ōkouchi, replacing Kazuhiro Furuhashi as both the director and writer. Produced by Wit Studio and CloverWorks, the anime series is based on the manga series of the same name authored by Tatsuya Endo. The opening theme song is Kurakura (クラクラ) by Ado and the ending theme song is Todome no Ichigeki (トドメの一撃) by Vaundy feat. Cory Wong.

(K)now Name gives the music, and character designs by Kazuaki Shimada, while Kazuaki Shimada alongside Kyoji Asano are chief animation directors. The series is licensed for streaming by Crunchyroll outside of Asia, while it is distributed by Muse Communication in South and Southeast Asia.

The plot of the series revolves around a family of three, who hide their identities from each other. It consists of an undercover spy, Twilight, with the alias, Loid Forger. In the new episode, the focus goes back to Anya and her classmates. Although Anya is not interested in studying, sports or any other activities, but despite that, her determination to collect more Stella Stars burns high. As the news about a special cupcake which makes one more intelligent spreads around the school, she wastes no time getting her hands on them so she has a chance to excel herself.

However, the race to eat the cupcakes leads to some hilarious moments which will make everyone laugh out loud. The most endearing aspect of the episode is how innocent the kids are. Their thought process is straight forwards and even their ‘selfish’ schemes to get what they want are just a ruse to get the approval from the people they admire.

Both Anya and Damian are the two sides of the same coin. Being an orphan, Anya rarely experienced the joy of having a family. After Loid adopts her, even if it is for his mission, she does not want to in any way ruin the relationship. Which is why she tries to work hard every day so that she can help her father out with the mission and they can stay together forever.

Meanwhile, Damian longs for approval from his father. His father is the most important person in his life and his main goal is to impress him. Day and night he works hard for the Stella Stars so he can also become an Imperial Scholar like his brother and maintain the Desmond reputation.

Moreover, Yor is finally on-screen where we see her in action. But it is not another mission she is supposed to complete but helping Franky save a cat. The sequence is another amusing moment as Yor always does things extra for the smallest tasks. However, the hilarious antics keep the episode fresh and entertaining throughout.
