My Hero Academia ended after all these years, and the ending was pretty good, but it also left fans stranded with many questions. Though we get to see what happens to all the other characters, and get a time skip where every character has managed to find a profession that would suit them best, it was not enough. We also see the heroes do exceptionally well in their fields, but at the same time, we do not get to explore that element for long.

There is also the fact that we did not get any resolution regarding the relationship development between Deku and Ochco. This was a surprise because the official last chapter, which is chapter 431 of My Hero Academia, did not even get adapted in the first place.

Does Deku Continue His Hero Journey?

Yes, towards the end of this episode, Deku is no longer a hero of the past, as everyone helps him get a special kit that can make him attain powers similar to what he used to have. This is a special suit that was specifically modified and has similar capabilities to the suit of All Might. Though it was very expensive to buy, Deku’s friends pitched in, especially Bakugo, and arranged for it to be delivered.

Deku becomes extremely grateful towards his friends, as now he can again do hero duties like he used to. But at the same time, he did not stop teaching his students, and he continues to inspire a new generation of heroes to do better.

Why My Hero Academia Skipped The Last Manga Chapter?

My Hero Academia skipped the last manga chapter, and there is no concrete reason as to why they did that. In this chapter, we get to see the point of view of Ochaco, and her bond with Toga also gets highlighted.

Towards the end, Deku even confesses his feelings to her, and she replies that she also feels the same for him. This would have been a really nice way to complete the story, but the makers decided to opt out of it, maybe because fans criticised the ending of My Hero Academia when the manga first came out.

Yes, canonically, Deku did end up with Ochaco in My Hero Academia, and they do become a couple towards the end of the story. However, this was not shown in the anime, but it is a fact if we consider the manga, which is the source material.

My Hero Academia is definitely connected to My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, but Vigilantes is not a sequel. In My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, we get to see past events rather than the future, which is why we might see other pro heroes but not the main cast from My Hero Academia. Thankfully, the second season of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes will air soon, and fans can enjoy and reminisce about their beloved heroes, now that My Hero Academia has ended.
