Spider-Man Star Andrew Garfield on Willem Dafoe, “He’s So Un-Self-Conscious As An Actor, And…..”

Spider Man No Way Home was a revolutionary film in terms of getting together three generations of Spider-Man. The film grossed high box office numbers and, even received nominations and accolades for some of the most prestigious award ceremonies of 2022. The film did not only bring back the three most exciting Spider-Mans the world has ever seen but, also some of the most iconic villains, well-placed cameos and a post and end credits scene that expanded the Spiderverse into a more vivid range.

It was, in fact, the return of actor Willem Dafoe as the Green Goblin that had fans reeling and in frenzy. The actor returned to the big screen to play the character of Norman Osborn aka Green Goblin 19 years after he had originally donned the role. In a new featurette from Spider Man No Way Home, actors Jamie Foxx, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland have come out to praise the veteran actor in his most iconic role as the Green Goblin.

The Tick…Tick Boom star noted that Dafoe was absolutely fearless in doing what he was doing. Garfield said, “Willem doesn’t give a flying whatever. ‘I’m doing this. He’s just like, so un-self-conscious as an actor, just totally free, and that’s the dream.” Actor Jamie Foxx, who returned in his role as Electro in the latest Spider-Man movie also stated that Dafoe’s performance was so good that it would feel like he could grab a tub of popcorn and just watch the movie every time Dafoe stepped into his character.
