As BLACKPINK members opted not to renew their solo contracts with YG Entertainment, they are now venturing into their own ventures. Following Jennie’s announcement of her independent company, ODD ATELIER, and Lisa’s revelation of her own company LLOUD, on February 21, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo unveiled her personal label, BLISSOO, with the launch of its website.

According to the website, BLISSOO is described as a place that cherishes the captivating artist Jisoo, likened to a gift box overflowing with her absolute happiness. Jisoo aims to share happiness and joy with her fans through a myriad of expressions and boundless charm. The newly established label expressed its hope that every moment spent with Jisoo at BLISSOO will be both special and meaningful for her fans.

Baekhyun’s INB100

After concluding his contract with SM Entertainment, Baekhyun has embarked on a new venture by establishing his own company, INB100. Notably, he has enlisted the collaboration of fellow EXO members Chen and Xiumin. This move underscores the trend of Korean artists diversifying their portfolios, with Baekhyun joining the ranks of celebrities and expanding their entrepreneurial endeavours.

EXO’s Lay

Lay, a member of the renowned group EXO took a significant step in 2014 by founding his personal studio in China, named Zhang Yixing Studio. This establishment was aimed at managing his endeavours in China independently. Building upon this entrepreneurial spirit, in October 2020, he embarked on a new venture by establishing his own entertainment company, Chromosome Entertainment Group. Following the model of successful South Korean labels like SM Entertainment, Chromosome Entertainment Group is poised to nurture aspiring talents through training programs and potentially debut them as artists in China.

Kang Daniel

In 2019, Kang Daniel took a significant step by founding his independent agency, KONNECT Entertainment. Prior to this, he had navigated a legal conflict with his former label. Following a six-month hiatus, he opted to forge his path with a solo agency. He saw this as the optimal strategy for his future endeavours, enabling greater control over his career trajectory. Additionally, he aimed to swiftly reconnect with his fans, recognizing the advantage of direct interaction facilitated by his own company.

PSY’s P NATION

P NATION stands as a shining testament to the entrepreneurial spirit of PSY, emerging as a powerhouse label in the K-pop realm following his departure from YG Entertainment. With a star-studded roster that includes the likes of Jessi, HyunA, DAWN (formerly E’Dawn), Crush, Heize, and Penomeco, the imprint quickly became synonymous with success and innovation in the industry. However, its journey hasn’t been devoid of twists, as witnessed by Jessi’s departure in July 2022, followed by HyunA and DAWN’s exit just a month later. Despite these transitions, P NATION continues to wield significant influence, leaving an indelible mark on the K-pop landscape.

CL’s Very Cherry

Renowned for her exceptional talents in dancing, singing, and rapping, CL, a former member of 2NE1, has solidified her status as a triple threat in the dynamic world of K-Pop. Embracing her entrepreneurial spirit, she embarked on a new venture in 2020 with the launch of her own agency, Very Cherry. This innovative endeavour aims to assemble a select group of industry professionals handpicked by CL herself, with the sole purpose of supporting her artistic vision and endeavours. Through Very Cherry, CL seeks to cultivate a collaborative environment where her unique talents can flourish and continue to captivate audiences worldwide.
