The vibes and beautiful beats of the song capture the audience’s attention as they are unable to stop themselves from playing the song on a loop. Meanwhile, the music video has got fans bringing up a comic twist to the way the plot plays out.
Love Hangover is the pre-release song from BLACKPINK Jennie’s upcoming album Ruby which is set to release on March 7, 2025. The album is said to consist of 15 songs from the global superstar, carefully curated by her, as she explores different genres and steps up her game. The singers bring together a chaotic yet creative marvel of a music video that has got fans talking since the release of the song. While the beats add to the charm of the music video, we are unable to look away from this sneak peek of her upcoming solo album! With this, let’s move into the music video review!

Jennie and Dominic Fike Love Hangover MV Review
We have to start this review by talking about the absolute chaos that is unveiled between the two singers for the whole duration of the music video where Jennie continuously keeps falling for the troubles brought by love while Dominic keeps trying to save her. The cinematography of the music video is absolutely wonderful and I have to say, it is one of the most entertaining MVs of this year.
The concept is clear as daylight, a toxic love she is unable to let go of, we see how it only brings her to a “dead” end that is hard to escape. Regrets do follow soon after, but she is in a constant loop that makes her unable to escape from the problems that come with her relationship that she seriously needs to escape. The lyrics are so clear when describing these feelings and the toxic loop that I am amazed by the simplicity and directness of the words used. This isn’t always easy but the way she so easily brings these feelings shows the talent that goes behind these lyrics.

The lyrics are already so well done, but the way they come together as music is another point that I have to talk about. The song is not only melodious, slow, and somewhat sexy, but also addictive and something you want to keep listening to. It slowly creates a path into your head and soon you are unable to look away. It’s almost like a magical spell that pulls you into listening to the song just one more time.
Moving on, we have to also talk about the creative chaos of a music video that is so beautifully brought together by the two singers. From the colours used in the video to the expressions of the artists, everything is so well-fitted, that you can see the effort put behind this song. Then there is the way everything has been brought together and you can see the smoothness behind the chaos of the plot. Truly, a well-captured music video that deserves all the praise.

Altogether, this music video is stunning and in a way preparing us for the explosion the singer is ready to create when her album is released. We certainly hold even higher expectations from her upcoming album after this song and are ready for her creativity.
