10 Memorable Theme Songs From 90s TV Shows

Friends

Friends is one of the best evergreen shows that people are, to date, watching it. Can we forget the beautiful friendship and romance between the six amazing characters: Chandler, Ross, Joey, Phoebe, Monica and Rachel? I don’t think the world will ever forget this sitcom and no other shows can possibly replace its standard. Honestly, the theme song of this sitcom is iconic because whenever it plays we can’t resist clapping to the beat.

Goosebumps

No matter how many horror themed show comes, every 90s and early 2000 kids will still feel shivers down their spine when Goosebumps‘ theme song plays. The intro song of the show ultimately takes us back to our childhood where we used to plug our ears to get rid of the piano tune. Ah, chills. Literal chills.

Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers

Go Go Power Rangers produced by Ronald Aaron Wasserman tops every other power rangers theme song. Most of the children who watched the intro credits where the song comes in along with the rangers changing into their costumes, won’t forget how they wished to be a power ranger in the future. I wanted to be a blue ranger, what about you all?

Shaka Laka Boom Boom

Can we ever let go of the jealousy we had on Sanju for owning the magic pencil? Imagine how many chocolates we could have had if only the pencil was ours? Damn. Nevertheless, after growing up listening to the theme song, now when we hear it, we can’t deny the fact how wonderful the old days were.

Circus

Shah Rukh Khan is one of the top Bollywood stars of this era but those who have seen him back in 90s definitely had the best days. Because the man who aged like fine wine was too cute back in those days. His top-notch TV show Circus‘ title track is a jam. Have fun listening and grooving to it.

Mr Bean

Mr Bean will forever reign in our hearts. The opera song Ecce Homo Que Est Faba aka Behold The Man Who Is A Bean will always be a superior theme song. While the animated version was children’s favourite, the original show starring the legend Rowan Atkinson will always top the list of comedy TV shows.

X Files

If you open any social media, most of the meme videos will feature the X files theme song. While they’re used for funny memes, the 90s kids will know how powerful the song was back in time. The thrill it gives can’t be explained.

Shaktimaan

Shaktimaan has my whole heart. I still remember how, so many toys came out with his sticker stuck on it. I would beg my parents to get me one of the toys to have my hero right next to me. The theme song—the best!

Metti Oli

Metti Oli‘s title song is Tamil Nadu’s forever dance number. The “Ammi Ammi Ammi Medhidhu” lyrics and the famous dance choreographer Shanthi’s moves is majestic. The storyline of the show was super realistic and I wonder why shows like this one aren’t produced these days.

Mahabharat

Honestly, this isn’t just a show, it’s pure bliss. India’s biggest epic being produced as a TV show is one of the legendary moves in the cinema industry. The title song definitely will give us goosebumps. O my goodness.

We hope you got the chance to feel the chills as you reminisce your golden days. Which theme song captivated you the most? Let us know about it in the comment section.
