The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies Episode 6 Recap
In this episode, we’re introduced to a new character who steps in to replace Mimori as the magical girl. Unlike Mimori, who was gentle and reserved, the new girl, Hibana, is quite the opposite. Her behaviour is what truly sets her apart. Hibana’s catchphrase is a blunt “Fuck,” often followed by a string of other colorful language. She’s constantly angry and doesn’t exhibit any of the typical traits you’d expect from a magical girl.
However, this doesn’t mean she’s a bad person; rather, Hibana is a classic tsundere who struggles to express her emotions in any other way. When she feels embarrassed or uncertain, she resorts to cursing and even physically lashing out at her mentor, Mr. Bird. Thankfully, Mr. Bird is nothing like Mimori’s insufferable cat. He is patient and genuinely concerned about Hibana’s well-being.
As a magical girl, Hibana is highly active, and driven by a strong sense of duty. Despite her tough exterior and frequent outbursts, glimpses of her kind-hearted nature shine through. During one encounter with her enemies, she crosses paths with Mira, who shows her no mercy. Mira’s only soft spot is for Mimori, so when it’s not her, he defeats his opponents with a single strike. Despite his victory, he feels a pang of guilt, worried about how Mimori might react to him harming her teammate.

In episode 7, we might see the back story between Mimori and Hibana. The way Mimori was surprised to see Hibana, can mean that their relationship was a close one. We might also see Mira not liking their association and trying to defeat Hibana again.
