The ongoing case is a $50 million defamation trial filed by Depp against Heard over the op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post in 2018, where she described herself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse.” The trial has been going on for quite some time and Depp has already taken the stand once and given his testimony in the matter. Heard is due to take the stand on Wednesday.
