My Demon Episode 2 Recap
This episode starts with Gu-won finding out that his tattoo got transferred to Do-hee. But it is not just his tattoo that changed the owner, but also all his powers shifted to her.
Do-hee passes out after such an incident, but then we see her in the hospital being taken care of by Gu-won. There, we get to know what had actually happened. Somehow, the tattoo landed on the Do-hee’s hand, and now she has access to all of Gu-won’s powers. The only way Gu-won can use these powers is by touching Do-hee’s hand.

Gu-won then goes to his office, where his trusted butler, Park Bok-gyu, finds out what might happen to our hero if he fails to make a new contract with someone or meet the expiration date of the contract. Apparently, he can go through a spontaneous explosion.
Though Gu-won was confident about getting a soul without his powers, he was not successful with it when he attempted such a thing. When he went to a wrestler to get his soul, Gu-won had to flee because multiple opponents were against him.
On the other hand, Do-hee goes to Joo Cheon-sook and asks her whether she is concealing anything from her. And she replies that she is not hiding any secrets from Do-hee. Now, this was a bit suspicious as she might be hiding something regarding the death of Do-hee’s parents because Cheon-sook was present on the spot when their car exploded.
We also see the appearance of a potential second lead as Joo Seok-hoon, the nephew of Cheon-sook, harbours feelings for Do-hee.

Later, Do-hee goes and confronts Noh Soo-an, Cheon-sook’s daughter, who is trying to bring Do-hee down by using malicious articles about her company. But she gets a dose of her own medicine when Do-hee threatens her with exposing her extramarital affairs.
Nonetheless, as Gu-won will have to get Do-hee’s help somehow to do his work, he plans to bewitch her with his charms. He manages to meet her and even take the soul he was supposed to with Do-hee’s help. But in the end, he blows his attempt at charming Do-hee because he tried to drown her again in an attempt to get his powers back. Hurt by this, Do-hee angrily leaves him to contemplate his actions.
Many people are trying to bring Do-hee down, and it is possible the entire Joo family, other than Cheon-sook and Seok-hoon, want Do-hee dead. Someone amongst the family members is also the one who contacts unhinged killers to assassinate Do-hee.
But thankfully, Gu-won comes to save Do-hee in the end when someone again tries to kill her by throwing acid at her.
My Demon Episode 2 Review
The second episode did not disappoint at all, and it was even better than the first episode. Right from the beginning, the comedy feels much more natural, and it actually makes you laugh. Even the side characters do their part really well, and I especially love the dynamic between Gu-won and Park Bok-gyu. They are hilarious together.

Song Kang, as usual, is breathtaking to look at, and he sells the sensuous demon part too well. Kim Yoo-jung is also very charismatic as Do-hee, who takes her work seriously enough for her employees to fear her like she is a demon herself. Now, if we talk about chemistry, then again, both of these leads are great at it, and you do feel how slowly but surely they are falling for each other.
All in all, I heavily recommend watching this if you are a sucker for romcoms like me or if you are just a Song Kang and Kim Yoo-jung simp in general.
