One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 11 Recap

The episode opens with Child Emperor successfully escorting Waganma to a safe location. The idea is to hand him over to fellow heroes, who will then ensure he is reunited with his father. Once the rescue is complete, the Child Emperor announces the success of his mission and receives appreciation from others. Initially, none of the other S-Class heroes respond to his message, but they soon begin sending updates, confirming that they are still engaged in intense battles of their own. However, Child Emperor soon discovers that another child has been abducted, prompting him to return to the battlefield to carry out yet another rescue.

Meanwhile, Atomic Samurai clashes with Black Sperm. What first appears to be an unimpressive enemy quickly reveals himself as a serious menace. No matter how many times Atomic Samurai slices him apart, Black Sperm continues to multiply, growing new bodies and overwhelming his opponent. At the same time, Zombieman is suddenly attacked by another powerful and dangerous monster.

Elsewhere, Puri-Puri Prisoner is overwhelmed by multiple monsters in a mix of action and dark humour. The episode concludes by briefly cutting to Saitama wandering through the chaos, once again remaining largely uninvolved as the Monster Association arc draws near its conclusion. True to form, he remains detached from the larger crisis, unaware of how close the heroes are to collapse. His casual presence contrasts sharply with the desperation surrounding him.

This episode started with Fubuki, King, and others roaming around the base of the Villain Association and discussing the might of King. Here, King tries to stick to the truth, but it eventually seals his fate as a formidable hero even more. On the other hand, heroes like Pig God and Superalloy Darkshine fight their own enemies. Superalloy Darkshine takes on Bug God and absolutely demolishes him. But that is when we finally see Saitama, who comes and wrecks the monsters right away.

He comes face-to-face with Overgrown Rover, a powerful monster dog, and tries to get it under control. But when the dog misbehaves and tries to attack Saitama, our hero decides to teach it a lesson, the effect of which reaches all the villains and heroes within the vicinity. This was so effective that Orochi came to witness what had just happened, and after seeing someone as powerful as Saitama, he decided to fight him.

Now, to be honest, this episode collectively had more impressive animation than all of the other episodes combined. It showcased the battle parts decently, and Saitama and Tatsumaki got the best end of the stick. However, if one compares it with the first season or even the second season, it is subpar at best. There are still static images, long dialogues, and lacklustre animation that make the episode look like a patched-up project. All in all, it was a decent effort from the animators’ part, but it did not result in a very good product.

The last episode was tolerable from the animation segment, but the way it haphazardly ended proved just how unprepared the makers were for One Punch Man. At this point, I am just glad this anime has ended for now.

  1. Yep, a good summary though you didn’t mention the poor artwork. Some of the hero’s faces looked extremely strange and distorted in some shots.

  2. Far too kind. They even ignore the redrawn chapters. The animations are poor, feels rushed. It’s like they took the managa, just worse drawn and put some slides in between each picture. Rushed, lazy, crap. It’s probably better they follow the old chapters so we don’t get the cosmic battle, since that would just be a massive disappointment.

  3. This season has easily been the worst big anime season ever for me. Nearly no saitama involvement, nearly no curveballs or interesting developments, whoever took over just ruined what was a high praise manga
