Disney Plus Hotstar Releases in August 2022: New month means new titles are releasing on different OTT platforms. In the month of July, Disney+ Hotstar gave us some interesting titles like Koffee With Karan Season 7, Ghar Wapasi, In the Soop and many more. In August, the streaming platform has an amazing line-up you do not want to miss.

From Marvel shows to Star Wars to some Pixar love, Disney+ has it all for different fandoms. If you do not want to miss out on these shows/movies, check out this article to remember the release dates.

August 3

Lightyear

Toy Story spin-off Lightyear, based on the toy Buzz Lightyear is coming to Disney+ Hotstar. The movie was released in theatres in June. Chris Evans voiced the space ranger in the Pixar movie.

August 5

Prey

Based on the Predator franchise, the sci-fi thriller movie stars Amber Midthunder, Dakota Beavers, and Dane DiLiegro. Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, the story is penned by Patrick Aison.

In the movie, we will see how a Comanche warrior and her community fight the space-faring trophy hunter.

August 10

I Am Groot

Marvel will release a short episode series on Guardians of the Galaxy’s Baby Groot. We will see Baby Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel) and his mischievous adventures in the animated series.

August 17

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law

In the She-Hulk series, we will meet Jennifer Walters, Bruce Banner’s cousin and her transformation into the giant green superhero. Created by Jessica Gao, the MCU show stars Tatiana Maslany, Mark Ruffalo, Jameela Jamil, Ginger Gonzaga, Renée Elise Goldsberry and Tim Roth. The first episode will release on August 17.

August 21

House of the Dragon

The prequel to Game of Thrones is releasing soon. The promos and trailer have created enough buzz for people to watch the fantasy period drama. Based on George RR Martin’s book, the show stars Emma D’Arcy, Milly Alcock, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Graham McTavish, Eve Best, Paddy Considine and Savannah Steyn.

August 31

Star Wars Andor

Another new series from the Star Wars world is making its way on Disney+ Hotstar. We will get more insight into Cassian Andor’s journey as a rebellion. The series stars Diego Luna, Adria Arjona, Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgard and Kyle Soller.
