The Princess Switch to The Holiday: Netflix Films With Winter Feels

Netflix is the pandora’s box of movies and shows to stream starting from The Princess Switch film franchise to The Witcher series but, the algorithm might not always sync in with your mood. With the onset of winter and the smell of Christmas in the air, it is only normal to crave a hot cup of cocoa and wrap oneself in the blanket to watch films that have an overall feel-good effect. We are here to get it all sorted out for you be it the mystery and adventure of Snow White & The Huntsman or the hilarious romantic flutter of Last Christmas and The Holiday.

Here Are Some Netflix Films That Serve As The Perfect Winter Treat:

The Princess Switch

Starring our High School Musical sweetheart Vanessa Hudgens in the leading role, Netflix’s The Princess Switch tells the old tale of the Princess & the Pauper but revamped in the 21st-century setting. A humble baker and soon-to-be crowned Princess come across one another only to discover how they are each others’ lookalike which motivates them to hatch a plan and steal a day from each other’s lives. Hilarious and heartwarming, the film even has a sequel to keep the fun going!

The Holiday

Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet star in the role of what every other woman goes through at some point in time- relationships that meet dead ends and two-timing men. To break this vicious cycle our protagonists swap homes which leads them to a better and more beautiful life, albeit not without some unforeseen complications in the movie The Holiday.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Who does love a good candy to keep up your blood sugar levels and mood uplifted, right? Well, we have the perfect pick for your snow-filled winters and it has a lot to do with candy!

Tim Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Netflix is a fun-filled ride with Johny Depp and Freddie Highmore (who is incredibly young here) to the place where the world’s best confectionaries are made. You can check out the trailer for this classic film below!

Let It Snow

Based on author John Green’s beautiful contributing book Let It Snow, this Netflix film is a charming story of friendship and romance. The film comes to power when a snowstorm hits a small town on the eve of Christmas, friends, families and loves are tested and turned in the time of crisis.

Snow White & the Huntsman

If you are looking for a winter adventure, Snow White & the Huntsman might just be the answer to that call. A modern retelling of the tale of Disney’s first princess Snow White, we see a more detailed friendship that blossoms between the forsaken princess and the huntsman that is sent to kill her. Starring Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth in the titular roles the film is all about an unknown adventure.

Last Christmas

The title might be a reminder to play the song that has been revamped by so many from Taylor Swift to Ariana Grande but, the film, however, is ingeniously good. Emilia Clarke plays the role of Kate despite working as an elf (in a shop, of course) doesn’t seem to believe in the magic of Christmas until she meets Tom, who restores back the faith in her life.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

The best movie on the list for the last, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a masterpiece that deserves all the love that it gets and more. Starring Jim Carrey as Joel and Kate Winslet as Clementine, we come across a unique love story like never before. The premise tells the story of Joel learning that his ex-girlfriend, Clementine has performed an experimental medical procedure to purge away all his memories making Joel follow the lead. You can watch the trailer for the film below.

You can watch all these films now on Netflix.

Let us know in the comments below which ones did you love and if you have more to add. Meanwhile, we hope these winter films on Netflix will give you all the vibes you need this season.
