The Marked Heart Season 2 Ending Explained: The new season of The Marked Heart (Palpito) is the second instalment of the telenovela. Directed by Camilo Vega, the series stars Michel Brown, Ana Lucía Domínguez and Sebastian Martínez in the lead roles. Carlos Eloy Castro, Leonardo Padrón, Doris Segui and Christian Jiminez are credited as the writers.

The story of the series surrounds a woman named Camila escaping her old life and her ruthless husband responsible for gruesome crimes. She reconnects with the husband of her heart donor in the process.

The Marked Heart Season 2 Ending Explained

After Camila reunited with Simon and his family, things were looking better, but not for too long. Zacarias revealed to Simon that his daughter, Samantha, was having major heart issues and needed a transplant as soon as possible. This made the situation complicated and dire for the family as a heart transplant not only cost a lot of money but also it was difficult to find a donor. Time was ticking for Samantha, and her father was willing to go to any lengths to save his only daughter.

What happened to Samantha’s heart?

Simon took Samnatha to the doctor to confirm his suspicions. The reports stated that she had been suffering from a dangerous heart condition, and a transplant was the only option to save her life. At first, Samantha went into denial and refused any kind of treatment. However, after much convincing, she came around and decided to get help.

Upon thinking about what caused the medical medication, she recalled that she was given medication by her therapist. The doubts turned out to be true, and it was her psychiatrist who gave her high doses of the medicine which caused her heart problems. She was working under the direction of Zacarias, who intentionally wanted to cause Samantha heart failure in order to teach Sminon a lesson.

Did Samantha Get a New heart?

It became impossible to find a donor for Samantha as there were many people on the list. Camila asked for her mother’s help with the operation, but she was too being blackmailed by Zacarias and could be of any help. Samantha’s boyfriend Julian tried to rob a bank to pay for a new heart, but the police caught them. However, they found a donor willing to help her out, but the patient was killed by Mariachi’s men. Out of desperation, Simon seek help from the organ harvesting organisation but later changed his mind as he did not want to hurt an innocent person.

Eventually, she received a call from the hospital informing her that they had found a new donor for her who remained anonymous. The operation was successful, and she received a new heart.

Who gave Samantha the new heart?

Fausto and his wife Lorena reveal every secret about the Cardenas, which causes a huge controversy. It also threatens Cardena’s presidential position, and they made arrangements to flee. Meanwhile, Zacarias’ involvement with the organ traffickers came out, and the police were in search to arrest him.

Camila received a call and was invited to a secluded house. Upon reaching the residence, she watched a video featuring Zacarias, who asked for her forgiveness. He said that he truly loved her and expected her to let go of any resentment she had towards him. He also revealed that it was he who donated the heart to Samantha. She broke down and mourned his death.
