The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies Episode 3 Recap
Today’s episode begins with a meeting of the evil lieutenants. They are suspicious of him and question his commitment to dealing with the magical girl he is supposed to hunt. Spica, in particular, doubts whether Mira is still fixated on the magical girl. Mira reassures them that everything is under control and he is following their plans. He even steps out to take an urgent call related to his mission, which further convinces them of his loyalty. However, the call is actually from a restaurant confirming an order for Mimori.
This reveals that Mira is far from completing his mission and remains supportive of the magical girl. We see him bringing beautiful flowers to Mimori, who mentions making artificial flowers to support herself. Mira quickly realizes that her employer is overworking her and doesn’t appreciate her efforts.
The situation escalates when Mimori starts crying in front of Mira. The reason behind her tears is shocking: her employer is trying to sell a perverted video of her.

The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies Episode 4 Review
Today’s episode was more wholesome than ever, and this happened because of a new addition to the cast. Previously, we saw Formalhaut, who is a colleague as well as a friend of Mira, wanted to join our hero for his mission. Mira, who, in the guise of completing his mission, is actually courting the magical girl, obviously does not want the presence of Formalhaut in his quest. But sadly for him, Formalhaut cannot take a hint, and on top of it, he has a dog-like personality.
If I have to describe Formalhaut in one word, then it would have to be a Labrador. He is a ball of sunshine who would very much fetch a ball rather than do evil deeds, as we saw in this episode. He is in awe of Mira because of his ruthlessness, as from his memories, we see that Mira used to be someone who would not even bat an eye to crush his enemies. Mira even once told Formalhaut to leave the evil organisation because of his caring nature. But what Formalhaut doesn’t know is that Mira has become a simp.
However, Mira must pretend he is doing his job, and at least in front of Formalhaut, he must fake a fight with the magical girl. This time, he even comes with the conviction that he will indeed defeat our heroin. But all his confidence leaves his body when he sees Mimori running towards him in her quite scandalous but cute, magical girl outfit.
Now you see this entire episode of Mira trying to make Formalhaut believe that whatever he is doing is actually for the benefit of the organisation. And this was only possible because Formalhaut is a complete idiot, who God knows how managed to become a Lieutenant.
Verdict
Today’s episode was hilarious. Formalhaut has now officially become one of my favourite characters, and I would love him to have a friendly relationship with our protagonists. I have a feeling he will be someone who would actually not oppose the relationship and would help our couple to stay together.
