The Kingdom Season 2 or El Reino Season 2, is the second and final instalment of the political thriller series that will be released on Netflix. Directed by Marcelo Piñeyro and Miguel Cohan, the follows a man with a dark past who becomes a Presidential candidate in Argentina. Claudia Piñeiro and Marcelo Piñeyro are given the writing credits for the show.

The previous season consisted of 8 episodes in total, with a runtime of approximately 40-50 minutes.

Diego Peretti as Emilio Vázquez Pena appears in the lead role alongside Chino Darín as Julio Clamens. The rest of the supporting and recurring cast includes Nicolas Garcia, Joaquin Furriel, Peter Lanzani, Mercedes Moran, Vera Spinetta, Santiago Korovsky, Victoria Almeida, Alfonso Tort, Patricio Aramburu, Sofia Gala, Marcel Jeannin, Tod Fennell, Wyatt Bowen, Néstor Guzzini and more.

The Kingdom Season 2 Plot

After televangelist Emilio Vázquez Pena became Argentina’s President following the mysterious death of his running partner, situations became more complicated. It is eventually revealed that the President might not be as he appeared to be. Certain events escalate to display the well-suited man’s true intentions and motives.

The second season will continue the ongoing story, and more truths will be unfolded as time goes on.
