Elsewhere, Young-sin has hidden Jun-tae in her room while she begins her piano performance for her guests for the evening. Seung-cheon dashes into Young-sin’s room but doesn’t find Jun-tae there who is hidden behind a curtain, before leaving.

However, Jun-tae has seen him and rushes behind Seung-cheon with a knife to kill him and the two get into a brawl which soon comes to an end with Hyeon-do pointing a gun at Jun-tae’s head. Seung-cheon feels assured and asks Hyeon-do to hand Jun-tae over to the police, however, Hyeon-do has plans of his own.

Shutting Seung-cheon inside his room, Hyeon-do tries to have a conversation with Jun-tae but things don’t go his way which makes him reveal the secret of Jun-tae’s mother. This revelation shakes him as he takes his gun to Young-sin’s concert while Hyeon-do tries to prepare for the worst by calling for the security team.

Jun-tae then asks Young-sin if she is his real mom, which leaves the latter speechless as she tries to talk him out of this. However, Jun-tae is not ready to listen and points the gun at her before asking the question one last time only for her to deny the truth. This leaves Jun-tae disappointed as he curses her to a miserable life before shooting himself.

The scene then shifts to Lee Cheol’s funeral where the people they know visit to offer their condolences. Ju-hee too arrives there with Seung-cheon whose appearance anger Seung-ha as she tries to push him out. However, Sun-hye stops her and invites Seung-cheon to pay his respects, only for him to break down in front of the altar as he cries out loud in regret.

She then gives back the condolence money given by Hyeon-do for the damage she had done before leaving. Elsewhere, Seung-cheon asks Tae-yong to meet near the bridge where he decided to change his life.

Seung-cheon returns Tae-yong’s spoon to him and vice versa. Seung-cheon leaves the decision of going back to his real life to Tae-yong while apologising to him. He also tells Seung-cheon that he has found his real father who should be the man named Gwon Yo-han, however, the man is already dead. Elsewhere, the exchange between the two is pictured and sent to Hyeon-do who sees the box which Tae-yong gives to Seung-cheon.

Later that day, Yeo-jin drops by Seung-cheon’s office and tells him that she will release the news of their engagement being called off. Seung-cheon realises that she is blaming herself for Lee Cheol’s death and tells her otherwise.

On the other hand, Young-sin cannot stop thinking about Jun-tae and cries while holding a picture of Gwon Yo-han who is revealed to be the father. However, as Gwon Yo-han has exchanged his life, what she holds now is a picture of the real Hwang Hyeon-do.

The next day, Yeo-jin visits Ju-hee while delivering the news of her broken engagement to a director there. She tells Ju-hee about the real situation behind Jun-tae’s death while letting her know how easy it is for Hyeon-do to fabricate news like this.

On the other hand, Seung-cheon is unable to sign off the documents which will bring a huge loss for small investors and decides on doing the right thing. He remembers the words of his father and begins to make a change in the company while he also takes the members of Amikus behind bars.

Following the wave that he brings, he then invites Hyeon-do for lunch at a convenience store and tells him of his aspirations to do the right thing. However, this only irritates Hyeon-do who tells him to return back to his original self and start thinking about profits instead of what he is doing.

Later, Ju-hee arrives at Seung-cheon’s office because of what she heard from Yeo-jin which made her relate it to president Na’s death. She tells him about her doubts when Seung-cheon remembers Jun-tae’s words and begins to suspect Hyeon-do. He calls Mun-ki and asks him what he found.

Mun-ki tells him that there was nothing suspicious and he even searched around for the person named Gwon Yo-han who had committed suicide. What he found was that the first person to discover him was Hyeon-do. This connects all the dots for Seung-cheon and he realises who Hyeon-do really is while he calls for Tae-yong to meet as soon as possible.

Now, Ju-hee and the two men think about who could be behind this when Seung-cheon comes to the conclusion that it is none other than Hyeon-do. This makes him furious as he prepares himself to attack Hyeon-do, however, this makes Mun-ki suspicious so he asks him to share whatever burden he has. Seung-cheon is unable to confront him but thanks him while warning him about what is to happen.

The Golden Spoon Episode 15 Ending

The Golden Spoon episode 15 ends with it being the day when Seung-cheon completes his 10 years as the old granny waits for him at the same place. However, the one to visit her is Tae-yong. Elsewhere, Seung-cheon arrives at an abandoned building to meet Hyeon-do and the two confront each other with their real identities.

Hyeon-do tells Seung-cheon that he realised what was happening the first time he saw him with the spoon. Seung-cheon accepts what he has done, but is unable to understand Hyeon-do’s reason to change his life. The latter tells him that he chose the path to fulfil his insatiable greed.

Seung-cheon then asks him about the murders, but Hyeon-do calls them uncertainties and brushes off the topic only to have Seung-cheon call him a monster. However, Hyeon-do only laughs it off while stating that they are the same kind of people.

Seung-cheon disagrees and tells him that the one who uses the spoon has to pay a price and he has prepared this for Hyeon-do by submitting the documents containing information about all of Dosin’s misdeeds to the police.

Hyeon-do then breaks Seung-cheon’s bubble and tells him that he knew of his plan and has already placed all the blame on him, including the murder of President Na. This shocks Seung-cheon as he runs away when the police try to arrest him.

The scene then changes to the night of President Na’s murder when he called Hyeon-do to his house while blackmailing him with footage of him killing Gwon Yo-han. He tells Hyeon-do to help out his business in exchange for the tape to which the latter abides.

However, unbeknownst to him, Hyeon-do hits him on the head with a jade paperweight from the back which kills him. Right then, Tae-yong enters the room and faints from the shock of what he has witnessed while Hyeon-do calls his attorney and puts the blame on Tae-yong.

The Golden Spoon Episode 15 Review

This episode began the final weekend of this show which also means that we are going to get some of the best drama this weekend. The episode really stood up to show that the best of this Kdrama has finally come and we are not disappointed by it.

Seung-cheon is no less than a tragic character whose little happiness cannot outweigh the loss that he is to experience. Yook Sung-jae has really wowed me with today’s episode and the heartbreaking scene of him kneeling in front of Lee Cheol’s altar is unforgettable.

On the other hand, Choi Won-young has once again given us a wonderful performance as Hwang Hyeon-do/ Gwon Yo-han and his changing character really shows his talent. Though I have to say that it is a shocker that he is Jun-tae’s father after the way he ends up becoming the cause of his death.

This brings me to think that it looks like Young-sin will be playing a very important role in the finale episode which only makes me look forward to it. But I am also intrigued by Tae-yong who has made his way to the granny. This episode has pleased me and I am looking forward to the final episode.

What do you think will happen in the finale? Let us know in the comments below!
