The Eminence in Shadow Episode 15 Overview

This series has garnered quite the hype after its release. And the credit surely goes to good animation, a relatable male lead and a bunch of beautiful anime girls who are sure to start waifu wars.

The anime is directed by Nakanishi Kazuya, who is also famous for his work with Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai SeikatsuTrinity SevenStrike the Blood, etc. Nexus studio is handling the animation, which despite not being very famous in its field, is delivering satisfactory results as of now.

I have tried my best to keep the review as spoiler free as possible, but there are certain elements that I had to mention to give proper feedback.

The Eminence in Shadow Episode 15 Review and Recap – A Weak-Looking Man

The 15th episode of The Eminence in Shadow is here, and we are back with another review. In this episode, we saw the town preparing for the much-awaited Bushin Festival. This was the event that was talked about by Princess Iris and Alexia in the previous episode. Princess Iris wants to win this title so that she can gain ample power to have authority to curb the problems of the Cult of Diablos by herself.

Cid has special plans for this event as he just wants to have fun here. And his idea of fun is pretending to be weak, then entering the competition and, with a sudden twist of fate, winning the whole thing. Even though he is such a strong character, at times, you feel like he is a child at heart who wants to live the life of a protagonist like everyone else.

To act like a weak person, he needs to look at the part as well, which is why he seeks out Gamma, who has almost all the solutions to every problem. She easily makes a fake look for him and arranges for a fake identity where his name is literally Average Youngman.

Happy with his unique appearance, Cid deliberately seeks out troubles with another participant so that people can underestimate him more. He also meets Annerose, who is one of the members of Vegalta Seven. She is a skilled swordswoman who was able to summon an ancient warrior on the Goddess Trial. She can be a potential addition to Cid’s harem though we’re still not sure of it yet.

We also got Rose Oriana’s story, who is also here at this festival to participate. She meets Cid and reveals that her father wants her to meet Doem Katthat, her fiance.

Rose has a heartfelt talk about it with Cid, where she asks him to have faith in her. Cid listens to her and even gives her a burger. The meeting between Rose and her fiance will have a shocking consequence that we will know about towards the end of the episode.

Verdict

This episode had many information and characters who provided us with signs that something big would happen in the future. The Bushin Festival will definitely not go normally, and there will be problems that Cid will have to look after.

Rose will be a major part of the upcoming incidents; hence, we can expect to explore her background as well. All in all, this episode was a nice build-up for some exciting forthcoming events. Watch this anime on Netflix
