-Shrinking Episode 7 Recap Does Contain Spoilers-
Shrinking Episode 7 starts with the basic aftermath of the alcohol-induced party when everyone wakes up inside Jimmy’s house (yes everyone) and starts to regret their respective decisions. The first in the row to face a compulsory set of awkwardness, is the duo of Gaby and Jimmy. Who, eventually realize the extent of their drunken actions.
Gaby, being the mature one, tries to keep things cool between her and Jimmy by declaring him a safer choice. She even starts to pinpoint the reason behind her reckless decision which somewhat matches Jimmy’s side of the explanation. However, as usual, Jimmy makes another attempt to keep the discussion as one-sided as possible.
Even though the duo decides to be discreet, Paul finds out the about their hookup chapter through a normal joke. Moreover, the story then moves to different characters as Jimmy tries to take the hard pill of apology. The second in line, Alice, immediately shrugs off the incident completely (as she herself has to deal with Sean’s side awkwardness).
Right after the incidents at the party, Alice tries to ignore Sean and even manages to cut out eye contact. The angsty teenager takes the help of Gaby to resort things between them before she tries to take up some advice from Paul.

Furthermore, the veteran therapist who rocked the shady sunglasses in the previous episode tries to come to terms with his daughter’s visit. Throughout the episode, Paul tries to control her anxiety about the forthcoming event and unexpectedly, it turns into the best day of his life. Notably, Meg not only takes the utmost care of his father but also revisits some childhood memories.
However, things don’t end in a nice fashion for the reconnected father and daughter. At one point, Meg informs Paul that he has to move in with them, and become a part of their family. This immediately makes him reconsider the options of moving to a different state, and have second thoughts about the brewing connection.
At last, the episode ends on an emotional note for Jimmy, who engages in a one-sided monologue with his dead wife’s picture. Moreover, during the back and forth, he ends up stating about his one-night stand with Gaby, which gets overheard by a disappointed Alice.

Shrinking Episode 7 Review
The latest instalment of the dramedy series has a lot in store for Jimmy, Paul, Sean and Alice. As it carries not one, but several characters going through their set of awkwardness. For instance, Jimmy has to deal with his regretful actions, Alice has to patch up things with Sean, and Paul needs to rekindle his relationship with his estranged daughter.
Leaving Paul aside, the episode ends on a positive note for everyone who has to encounter their vulnerabilities. However, when Jimmy stupidly lets Alice into his secret, the grief-ridden therapist ensures that there is no happy ending for him in this world.
The possible repercussions of the reveal might lead to a sour twist in the story of Jimmy and Alice. As the latter will definitely have some mixed feelings about his father’s drunken fling (that too with Gaby). And might not react to this news in the most positive way of all.
Whatever the case may be, the episode makes up for an entertaining ride, with some spot-on dose of humour and confrontations. Harrison Ford is as good as it gets, and Jason Segel seems to do nothing wrong at all. The series might be halfway through, but things are only starting to peak.
