Grosse Pointe Garden Society Episode 7 Recap
The episode opens with Catherine realising that Ticker didn’t go overseas and might be at a casino, while Birdie continues to have a steamy affair with Joel. Alice buys Doug’s paintings to hopefully get out of her mother-in-law’s claws, but that has its own issues, namely that she doesn’t have the money to blow. Catherine confronts Tucker and learns that they are in a huge debt. However, she promises to help him through it. Elsewhere, Alice gets her job back with Marilyn’s help, and the new principal asks her to be careful despite everything.
While Brett struggles with Cricket’s quirks and the car he is working on, Alice does something crazy in class that makes her smile and finally learns about his crush on her. Later, Cathrine goes straight back to work and gets into competition with Pierce over a realtor deal. Meanwhile, Alice makes up with Brett while Olga tries to reason with Birdie about her relationship with Joel. Elsewhere, Catherine finds herself with a realty deal after she convinces the homeowner that she has the PTA contacts to sell her house within 60 days, if not less!

In the end, Cricket slowly breaks up with Brett, although he and Alice become friends again. Olga threatens Joel not to break Birdie’s heart, but more pressing issues come up when his wife spots them kissing from outside Birdie’s home.
Four months later, Catherine comes back home traumatised and faces Tucker, who thinks that she cheated during the night. She opens up to him about it, which leaves him shocked. Later, the police show up at her house with her bracelet and a crazy story and ask her to come down to the police station. There, she is shocked to face the gas station clerk, who gives the police information about Catherine and Birdie’s whereabouts, leaving her sweating. Thankfully, Tucker gets there just in time, but surprisingly asks the police to check the cameras instead of questioning Catherine.

As the police go through the footage, Catherine is left in a jumble of nerves as she realises that she is caught. She tries her best to get out of the situation, but Tucker insists that the police check the footage. However, she is pleasantly surprised when nothing comes up on the recording. They later have a conversation about the incident, and Tucker explains how he got the footage removed. However, their conversation is cut short when Gary makes an appearance at the bar they are in.
Grosse Pointe Garden Society Episode 7 Review

I feel like Grosse Pointe Garden Society should’ve been shorter and crisper instead of going on odd tangents about everyday life and not giving us enough of the crime part. If this release all in one day, maybe it could’ve held on to the tension, but as it stands, I think I sometimes forget that this is a thriller and not just a drama full of people who make bad decisions. This episode was fine, but nothing of importance happened, and it didn’t give me an insight into who was murdered and how. I am so confused about the various threads that are flailing about right now. There’s no tension anymore, and it’s only just people cribbing about something or another.
