Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 7: Dress Me Up! Dress Me Down
When Georgina Sparks turned up in the last episode, it felt like she was the villainous saving angel the show had needed for a long time. But, with Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 7 on the roll, it does not look like our favourite Sparks is adding any edginess to the show to make it interesting but, is rather here to fool around and make the show exhausting all over again.
The spotlight of the seventh episode is Kiki Hope, more like everything that goes wrong with her designs and lands Audrey and Julien on either side of the bridge, much like a basic Serena and Blair affair. Julien is too indulgent and Audrey just wants to make sure that she is making everyone happy- her mother, her father, and even her father’s girlfriend! Sooner or later it was known that a rift will arise between the two but, the way it did isn’t scandalous or sensational in any way.
Meanwhile, fans really loved whatever love-hate brewed between Zoya and Monet in the last episode pushing makers to put the two together again. Zoya wants to thank Monet for whatever she did for her and Monet wants to continue to be a basic villain and have nothing to do with Zoya except for insulting her from time to time. Well, what happens when Camille enters this equation to use it all to her benefit? Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 7 really showed us that.
However, the most cringe parts of the show belonged to Obie’s constant planning to bring his mother down. Well, either do it or stop it! And, of course, Kate caught in Georgina’s ruthless grip is losing all the credibility and intelligence of the Gossip Girl platform with the latter wanting to go completely nuclear with it- with fake or real news.
Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 7: Final Thoughts
One thing is for sure in Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 7, everyone is left lonely, heartbroken and used in this episode- a theme not alien to the show but, the way it all played out really did not thrill most of us for sure. With almost halfway through the season, it really makes you wonder if the reboot can manage to stand out again, as it used.
