Drops of God Finale Reactions: Audience Experiences Major Withdrawal Syndrome, Wants to See More of Camille-Issei

Many good shows have run their course to vacate the same times slots fro new stories. However, that doesn’t mean that the viewers who’ve been loyally glued to their screens for the former titles have forgotten all about them in a jiff. The Drops of God finale reactions on Twitter go on to prove that the audience have barely gotten over the high they experienced upon watching the entertaining thriller.

Drops of God Episode 8 premiered on AppleTV+ on June 2, 2023, and closed down the chapter of the story (or at least the first season for now). Based on the Japanese manga series about wine written by Yuko and Shin Kibayashi, who’re collectively referred to as their self-employed pseudonym Tadashi Agi, and illustrated by Shu Okimoto, the series stars Fleur Geffrier as Camille Leger and Tomohisa Yamashita as Issei Tomine in the leading roles, and has been directed by Oded Ruskin.

Despite the former being a French character and the latter a Japanese, their mutual contributions to the riveting drama series caught viewers off guard in the best way possible. While initially barely a handful of people were aware of the manga it was adapted from, many caught on the show’s refreshing twists and presentation. Though still an underrated series, people who came around to watching it and sticking by it till the end have finally acknowledged that the series makes for possibly one of the best releases of 2023.

After watching the Drops of God Season 1 finale, manga readers easily caught on to the changes made in the TV adaption of the same story, but they still had no plans of dismissing the show for what it came to be. One of the Twitter users took their handle to express their thoughts after watching the finale and said, “the writing, acting & execution are all solid & the ending was satisfying”. Yet another members of the Drops of God fan club joined along and commented under the official Apple TV post that “we need more series like” this, and that a show like this is what keeps pulling them back to the OTT platform for more.

Many viewers agreed that Episode 8 marked an “amazing end to an incredible series”, but they’re no closer to getting over its magnificence. Twitter users left out their desire of the series being renewed for another season in the air, but considering that bringing shows back for another run isn’t always easy, they’re happy that they got to have a taste of this story at all, even if just for one season.

It’s been hard for the show’s followers to articulate exactly what they’re feeling after the show’s last episode, so they chose to just leave message like – “cried, cried, laughed, then cried again, and it made me smile at the end” on their Twitter profiles, and it was enough for their fellow enthusiasts to grasp on to what they were trying to say. The rollercoaster-like last episode has left the show’s fandom crumbling down emotionally. Here’s how the audience reacted to what may possibly be the last entry of the series.
