And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 5 Review: This HBO series is developed by Michael Patrick King. It serves as the revival and a sequel of the old classic Sex and the City which was created by Darren Star, based on Candace Bushnell’s newspaper column and 1996 book anthology of the same name.
The main cast for the show features Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes, Kristin Davis as Charlotte York Goldenblatt, Mario Cantone as Anthony Marentino, David Eigenberg as Steve Brady, Evan Handler as Harry Goldenblatt, Sara Ramirez as Che Diaz and Sarita Choudhury as Seema Patel. Other cast members include Nicole Ari Parker as Lisa Todd Wexley, Karen Pittman as Dr. Nya Wallace, Bobby Lee as Jackie Nee, Chris Jackson as Herbert Wexley, LeRoy McClain as Andre Rashad Wallace, Cathy Ang as Lily Goldenblatt, Alexa Swinton as Rose Goldenblatt, Niall Cunningham as Brady Hobbes, Cree Cicchino as Luisa Torres, Ivan Hernandez as Franklyn and Brenda Vaccaro as Gloria Marquette.
There are going to be some new faces in the second season. We will see John Corbett as Aidan Shaw, and Candice Bergen as Enid Frick alongside Tony Danza, Sam Smith and Victor Garber. The biggest surprise is, of course, the return of Kim Cattrall as Samantha Jones.
The fifth episode of And Just Like That Season 2 is out now. It is titled ‘Trick or Treat’ and is written by Samantha Irby and Lucas Froehlich. The runtime of the episode is 45-60 approximately minutes.

And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 5 Review: Trick or Treat
And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 5 gets out of the repetitive grief loop and blinding Che-romance. There is something new for all the characters and, it’s finally good to see some growth.
In the fifth episode, we see all the girls get going to grab some good dick or good time. Carrie, for starters, is not weeping in this one! She meets an app designer named George that gets her interested and invested. However, how long it lasts is an epic Carrie-specific time. But, we have our boss babe Seema do the Samantha Jones-like bidding in this episode with a penis-pump man.
Lisa and Nya don’t sit back on this one either as they leave a party to get that man that will round them up sweet. Meanwhile, Charlotte is well settled in hers and is giving us all the adorable cute-couple vibes with Harry. In fact, this episode even gives us a Rock-specific moment that echoes the old Charlotte’s vibe and path.

The intense moment of And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 5, of course, comes from Miranda and Che’s part of the story. Sadly (or, fortunately?), Che and Miranda go through a whirlwind of things that lead them to part ways. The break isn’t tragic for the audience but, for the characters, it really feels like a canon event that is not reconcilable.
And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 5: Final Thoughts
Well, And Just Like That Season 2 is finally doing a little better in terms of storytelling. We have more empowerment-like growth in characters and less stupidity. It is not yet able to replicate the charisma that the OG show was known for but, at least with this episode we can say that it is trying to.
