Check Out the Best Friends Episodes For a Perfect Thanksgiving 2022
10. The One With Rachel’s Other Sister
The episode featured a guest appearance from Christina Applegate, who played Amy, the rude and upfront sister of Rachel Green on the show. Moreover, just like all the Thanksgiving instalments, it had all the constant drama and hustle, involving Joey’s Parade, Monica’s wedding China and Chandler’s usual sarcasm.
However, the highlight of this episode from Season 9, was the hilarious argument between Ross and Rachel, about the eventual caretaker of Emma, after the couple’s death.
9. The One Where Underdog Gets Away
This Thanksgiving moment was part of the very first season which created the trend for festival-themed episodes in the sitcom. We get to know about Chandler Bing’s trauma with the Turkey Feast, and his choice of eating Funyuns. Moreover, we also witness the gang uniting after a series of comical incidents that ultimately led to the feast.
Plus, Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade spoiling the ultimate dinner, and locking everyone out of the apartment, definitely deserves a spot on the list.
8. The One Where Chandler Doesn’t Like Dogs
This episode from Season 7 gave us interesting hindsight into the likes and dislikes of the wittiest character. The sarcastic lord Chandler Bing reveals that he is just not comfortable with dogs around, and has a special kind of allergy towards them (one that only arrives when mentioned).
Mr Paleontology specialist also provides comic relief through his visible angst with the State naming game. Moreover, we also get to see the smarter side of Joey Tribbiani, who beats him through his creative wordplay.
7. The One With The List
In season 2, Ross had the difficult task of breaking up with his girlfriend Julie, to get back with Rachel. However, the pitiful guy took the help of his most reliable and smart friends- Joey and Chandler.
In this hilarious segment, they end up making a Pros vs Con list, which is ultimately acquired by Rachel. What follows next, forms one of the best moments of the on-and-off couple.
6. The One With The Late Thanksgiving
This adorable episode from Season 10, gave us the iconic “Joey Wants Food” stare, while his neck gets stuck in the door, along with Rachel, Phoebe and Ross. Basically, it all starts when the group convinces Monica to cook an entire thanksgiving feast, only to wound up late in the party.
However, it also has one of the most heartwarming endings in the series, when Monica and Chandler get a phone call from the adoption agency, about the addition of a new member to their family.
5. The One With Chandler In A Box
In this outlandish episode, Chandler hurts Joey’s sentiments (Yes, they exist), and ends up trapping himself inside a box, as a form of comical redemption. Moreover, the best friend duo finally let it all out in an emotional path up and rekindle their bromance. And if this drama wasn’t enough, there is also Rachel, who spoils the secret Santa by exchanging all the gifts.
Notably, what makes this episode special, is not the box, but Chandler’s will to repair his bond with Joey.
4. The One Where Ross Got High
During Season 6, the new love birds Chandler and Monica move in together and host a Thanksgiving dinner for the group, and for the old-fashioned Gellers. However, they try to keep the entire live-in thing a secret and also assign Rachel to cook up the classic dessert. As a result, both of the plans end up in a complete mess and spoil the dinner for everyone.
One can definitely argue, that the episode gave us one of the most memorable recipes of all time, a horrible mix of English trifle and shepherd’s pie.
3. The One With The Football
There is literally no doubt why this thanksgiving episode, from Season 3, is at number three. Probably, the only one where the gang gets outside their flats, and settles the rivalry on the sports field.
It is also the first time we are introduced to Monica’s intense winning spirit, which separates her from the rest of her teammates. And also finds Rachel amidst a sport, she literally had no idea about. All in all, it was a fun and lively episode, that was one for ages.
2. The One With All The Thanksgivings
Season 5 relied on curating a Thanksgiving retrospective, which found the group reciting their worst and best festive stories. It all starts with Phoebe’s past life, which was a bloody mess (quite literally), and ends up with the classic head inside the Turkey.
Furthermore, all these idiosyncratic moments, took us down memory lane, and made us extremely grateful, for associating with central perk favourites.
1. The One With The Rumor
There is no way that Rachel Green Hate Club doesn’t top the chart when it comes to the best Thanksgiving episode. This one, in particular, featured Brad Pitt in the role of Ross’s high school friend Will Colbert, who had a certain irk with the Green queen,
Everything about this episode is completely hysterical, and also makes up for the finest thanksgiving episode on Friends.
