Behind Your Touch Episode 16 Recap

Ye-boon keeps a knife near the Shaman’s neck and drags him out of the police station. She demands that Jang-yeol drive the car and the three get away from the rest of the detectives. It is then understood that Ye-boon acted on command of the Shaman as he promised to reveal Ok-hee’s place if they gave him a way out.

As per his directions, Jang-yeol, Ye-boon, and the Shaman go to an isolated area. Before they can find Ok-hee, Jang-yeol’s grave enemy Baek Sun-gil comes with his gang and attacks Jang-yeol. We learn that previously, the Shaman has read Jang-yeol’s memories and contacted Sun-gil to make a deal.

The Shaman gets a boat arranged for him to escape to China in exchange for Jang-yeol. He also reveals about Ye-boon’s power to Sun-gil. Jang-yeol is then taken away to a mad doctor leaving Ye-boon to evade the other bad men. As per Jang-yeol’s instructions, she breaks free and gets rid of the mad doctor, saving Jang-yeol. Then Jang-yeol single-handedly fights Sun-gil’s men and makes him surrender.

Jang-mook, Dok-hee, Da-eun’s brother, and others search for Ok-hee. Since Ye-boon couldn’t see the location in the Shaman’s memories, with the help of the sounds she heard, she directs them all via a phone call. Successfully, Da-eun’s brother finds Ok-hee and saves her in time. Ye-boon and Jang-yeol stick with Sun-gil to find the Shaman.

The next day, the duo cleverly walk ahead to not alert the Shaman. With the help of Ye-boon’s powers, they come in contact with the Shaman. However, he starts to stab random strangers as a threat message. Finally, he comes face to face with Ye-boon and takes her hostage. Before he can escape, Jang-yeol instantly comes up with a plan and executes it. He then arrests the Shaman.

The town of Mujin returns to its normal days. Jang-mook fixes his wedding with Ye-boon’s aunt. Jang-yeol prepares to leave for Seoul but ditches the bus to stay back for Ye-boon. The couple then have a warm conversation and he subtly asks her to meet him when she comes to Seoul. Time skip, after eight months, Ye-boon is an upcoming television star known for her insane skill of communicating with animals.

After finishing a show, she meets Jang-yeol and they try to spend time in a cafe. But due to Jang-yeol’s busy schedule, Ye-boon asks him that if she could help him would he spend more time with him. This rings a bell and he instantly shifts her into the women’s prison where she is assigned to read a woman’s memories.

Ye-boon cusses Jang-yeol for putting her in such a position. She tries to get close to the woman but she’s super tough. When a soccer match comes, Ye-boon takes the opportunity and touches the woman’s back, earning her anger. Before she can bang her head on Ye-boon, Jang-yeol comes and protects her.

He then asks her about the details of the woman’s memories and Ye-boon conveys it. Then he says that the job is done and that they should now go to watch movies and spend time. The woman interrupts the new couple’s romantic moment. The episode ends with Jang-yeol and Ye-boon running away from the troupe of thug ladies.

Behind Your Touch Episode 16 Review

Since this is a romantic comedy, the finale thankfully didn’t feel super thrilling but had its essence along with humour. Ye-boon poking the Shaman’s eyes and biting his head after his arrest made me chuckle. The romance has sparked between the main lead but sadly only in the end. But for this plot, this tiny piece of romance is best-fitted otherwise it wouldn’t be appropriate (imagine after all the deaths we see the main leads kissing and cuddling, nope!).

As the series is about a serial killer, the director and writers have generously made it light-hearted to eradicate emotions of fear among the viewers. Thanks to the supporting characters, the comedy aspect was enjoyable throughout. The probability of a second season is less because the main leads have decided to work together and start their relationship. Hence watching their next journey won’t be as interesting as this one where they were bickering with each other.
