Dead To Me Season 3 Ending Explained
The first season of the episode kicks off with Jen being taken to the hospital after she and Judy meet with a life-threatening accident. The plot thickens when it is found through tests that Judy might have cancer. On the other hand, Detective Ana Parez calls Jen to inform her that the authorities found Steve’s dead body. Things start to get more complicated with each episode.
Detective Parez was helping out Jen in covering up the murder of Steve, but things kept getting harder for her when Officer Nick was hell-bent on finding the murderer, and he had suspicions about both Jen and Judy.
What Happened To Ben?
In the first episode, Ben had also arrived at the same hospital to both Judy and Jen were admitted, but the reasons were unknown. Later in the series, it was revealed that Ben was the one who ran his car onto them while he was drinking heavily. He had become too dependent on alcohol which led him to fall into difficult situations soon after he was sent to rehab.
Eventually, the detectives figured out who was responsible for the hit-and-run; hence they arrested Ben. He remained in jail for a few days, and by the end of the series, he was seen to be out of prison.
Was Steve’s Murderer Found?
The looming question from season 2 until the finale was mainly around Steve’s murderer, Jen. The detectives keep trying to figure out his whereabouts, but everything goes in vain. Finally, when Steve’s body was found, they hoped to find answers, but the case fell under the FBI. An FBI officer can be seen asking questions to the potential suspects, but even his efforts go down the drain when he is ultimately killed.
In the second last episode, Judy confessed to Officer Nick about murdering Steve, and she took all the blame on herself. But Jen somehow managed to convince Nick to let her go since she had cancer and only a few days to live. Later the authorities found out that the Greek mafia that Steve was involved with had murdered both the FBI officer and Steve. Jen and Judy were no longer suspects.

Jen And Judy’s Endgame
While Jen was helping Jury with her chemotherapy and helping her lead a normal life through cancer, she discovered that she was pregnant and Ben was the father. After Judy’s unsuccessful chemotherapy, she was ready to die and to help her friend for the last time, she confessed to killing Steve to the cops.
In the last episode, Jen and Judy escape the authorities for a final vacation. It was the same place where Judy always wanted to go. They both were seen having a great time, drinking and dancing, carefree for once without being scared or escaping from anyone. In the middle of the vacation, Jen discovers that the FBI Officer after them is dead, and the blame for his and Steve’s murder goes to the Greek mafia. They were relieved, and Jen proposed that they both stay at that place and never return. But Judy disagrees, and only she stays back.
In the last scene of the last episode, it is shown that Ben and Jen are now together, holding their newborn baby, living a normal life as she always wanted to.
