Would You Marry Me Episode 3 Recap

The episode begins with Woo-joo’s relatives almost catching Me-ri when Sang-hyun suddenly asks where his wife is, unaware of the chaos that has unfolded. Luckily, Me-ri hides just in time while Woo-joo quickly distracts Sang-hyun and leads him away. When Woo-joo’s relatives find Me-ri’s phone on the ground and try to return it to her, thinking she is a stranger, she pretends to be possessed and manages to grab her phone back, frightening them enough to run away.

Later that night, Woo-joo advises Me-ri to find another place to stay since Sang-hyun’s watchful eyes could land them in trouble. She contacts the only friend she knows in Seoul, only to discover he has joined the army. With no other option, she checks into a long-stay motel that looks rather suspicious and uncomfortable.

Meanwhile, Woo-joo’s grandmother gives her approval to Jin-gyeong’s feelings for Woo-joo, unaware of the complicated truth her grandson is hiding. After a meeting at headquarters, Woo-joo’s team invites Me-ri out for dinner. Everyone drinks, and both Woo-joo and Me-ri make sure that no one discovers they are the fake married couple who won the Beaute Department Store contest.

When Me-ri gets very drunk, Woo-joo steps in to save her from his colleagues, who try to make her pay for their karaoke session. He takes her back to her motel and quickly realises how strange and unsafe the place is. When he returns to her room to collect his car keys, suspicion makes him act impulsively, and he accidentally punches the motel owner, thinking the man is harassing Me-ri. In reality, the owner is only trying to help her after she burns her foot with hot water. Feeling guilty, Woo-joo decides to take Me-ri to the house they won and tells her to stay there quietly with the lights off.

Me-ri follows his instructions and hides carefully, not wanting Sang-hyun to discover her. However, she is unaware of the sound-sensitive lights in the house. When she claps to kill a mosquito, the lights switch on, and Sang-hyun, who has planned to visit the newlyweds to keep up appearances, notices something is off. He helps Me-ri understand how the lights work, but becomes suspicious when he sees no trace of Woo-joo around. Me-ri lies, saying they have not had time to unpack yet. Sang-hyun tells her he will visit again next week to see how the newlyweds are settling in.

Me-ri informs Woo-joo about everything, and they decide to take a wedding photo to make their story more convincing. Meanwhile, the company’s criminal mastermind, Han-gu, fears his embezzlement will be exposed. To cover his tracks, he plans a deadly accident for one of the company’s hardworking employees who knows the truth. His plan succeeds, and the employee dies in a tragic car crash.

The next day, Woo-joo and Me-ri go for their wedding photoshoot. As they pose together in wedding attire, they both feel an unexpected spark. Just as they are about to leave the studio, Woo-joo spots Se-jung and panics. He rushes back inside and kisses Me-ri to stop Se-jung from recognising him, making it look like a couple sharing a private moment. When Woo-joo finally pulls away, Me-ri notices Se-jung entering the room and quickly pulls him in for another kiss. The episode ends with both of them blushing, unsure whether it was all just an act anymore.

Would You Marry Me Episode 3 Review

This episode of Would You Marry Me? was pure chaos wrapped in cuteness. From Me-ri’s hilarious “possessed” act to her hiding in a dodgy motel, the comedy was on point. Woo-joo, being the accidental hero (and part-time troublemaker) just added to the fun. Their fake marriage is turning into something suspiciously real, and every small glance between them makes it harder not to root for these two clueless sweethearts.

The ending totally stole the show. That unexpected double kiss? Absolutely adorable and awkward in the best way possible. Woo-joo and Me-ri are clearly falling for each other, even if they won’t admit it yet. With office gossip, secret missions, and romantic tension building up, this episode was a perfect mix of funny, flirty, and heartwarming, the kind that leaves you grinning long after it ends. Man, this series gives pure 2016 vibes, and I’m loving it.
