The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 4 Review: Getting to Know Grogu Better

The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 4 is out now. Created by Jon Favreau, the show is a part of the famous Star Wars franchise and takes place five years after the events of the 1983 film Return of the Jedi.

The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal as the title character aka Din Djarin along with Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, Werner Herzog as the Client, Omid Abtahi as Dr. Pershing, Nick Nolte as Kuiil, Gina Carano as Cara Dune, Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Emily Swallow as the Armorer, Esposito, Timothy Olyphant as Cobb Vanth, Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett, Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze.

We also have Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Amy Sedaris as Peli Motto, Mercedes Varnado as Koska Reeves, Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand and several others. The third season will see the return of Esposito, Weathers, Sackhoff, Swallow, and Abtahi.

The fourth episode of season three is directed by Carl Weathers and written by Dave Filoni & Jon Favreau. The episode is titled The Foundling and the runtime is 30-40 minutes.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 4: The Foundling

The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 4 shifts its focus from the chaos where Dr. Penn Pershing landed to the favourite character in this Star Wars series- Grogu! The recent episode focuses much on the tiny Force user’s journey and reveals enough aspects from his past to give us an idea of where he comes from.

The recent episode of The Mandalorian Season 3 starts with Grogu starting his training with the learning batch of Foundlings. Acting as the father, Din takes charge and takes Grogu to these sessions where even Bo-Katan joins them. The two watch over Grogu as he trains. He ends up challenging a youngling named Ragnar.

As the challenge using wrist darts ensues, Din guides Grogu to use his power, the Force to get an upper hand and win the fight. However, after Grogu emerges successful in the fight a new trouble flys over the younglings and the Mandalorians. Ragnar is taken away by a creature leaving everyone distressed. The covert gets together with Din a part of it to find the missing younglings.

Meanwhile, Bo stays back using the Gauntlet to find the creature. Grogu is left in the care of the Armourer as the episode progresses where a lot of details about his past come to light.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 4: Final Thoughts

The Mandalorian Season 3 is taking an interesting storytelling narrative where it focuses on a specific character in each episode. We started with Din and now, we have finally reached Grogu. Looking at how the episode ended, one can predict that Bo-Katan’s story is the next in line to be discovered more about. The way the story is being told is really making the show interesting with every passing episode as the viewers are getting to see and discover something new and out of the box.

Coming to The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 4, this might just be a fan favourite because of the sheer amount of screen time Grogu gets. There is no denying that this little guy is the star of the series and our hearts and getting to know him better only makes watching the show a worthwhile experience.
