The Kingdom Season 2 Ending Explained
In the latest season, two years have passed and Pastor Emilio is the president of Argentina but things aren’t going exactly as he had hoped. Rather than concede, Emilio pushes on, gathering new allies and even an army of his own, which he will use to bring about a reign of terror. In an all-out struggle between good and evil, his adversary is Tadeo, who has unwittingly become a populist leader and won’t shrink from his mission.
In order to gain control and show his power, the dirty war against Tadeo erupts in the media. The Praetorians, under Emilio’s control, raise hell as he declares a crusade against his enemies. But Tadeo and Jonathan remain unhindered and decide to unveil Emilio’s bad deeds and the traumatic abuse he put many young boys through.
At the same time, Julio along with Congress member Alejandra Orsi tries to track down the boys from Remigio’s diary & with Tadeo’s help they come in contact with Antonio & other boys who were moved to different places. Meanwhile, Osorio’s hallucinations worsen and he seems to be unaware of Emilio or Tadeo’s activities.

He seeks out his father’s therapist to prescribe him the same medication but it only makes him see all the people he has killed, as well as he starts an unhealthy obsession with the Doctor and starts stalking her. By the time he takes a look at what’s happening around him, Emilio is seen planning a coup with the Pretorians & bring down the government for a complete takeover.
He calls up the press and all the government officials to the house of congress to execute his plan but underestimates Osorio, as he infiltrates the Praetorians and makes them work on his orders instead. He decides to dispose of Emilio at his own set-up event by making the vice president take his place. But his hallucinations get the best of him when he sexually assaults and kills the therapist. At the venue, he starts seeing her as well, at the same time his partner sees him talking in the air.
He calls up the secret service on his condition & he gets taken to the same mental hospital as his father. But one peculiar thing is that the person loading him in the ambulance looks like Remigio Cardenas & even talks to Osorio’s partner. It leaves us confused whether it’s his imagination or Remigio is alive & was set up to haunt Osorio.
Meanwhile, at the event, Alejandra gets ready to give the speech and live broadcast the testimonials of all the abused boys. While they are able to unveil the story of one boy, the officials cut up the broadcast on Emilio’s order – as he tries to go back to his home & address everyone from there.
However, Tadeo is also present there and he takes up the microphone, revealing that he was abused by the Pastor as well. While Emilio hurriedly tries to flee from the venue, he orders his driver & the mastermind of Praetorians, Daniel Botardi, to stop it all. Botardi comes running into the room & shoots Tadeo on the live broadcast, leading him to die on the spot.
Shocked by what has been revealed, Emilio and Elena find themselves abandoned by everyone, including their own children. Simultaneously, Celeste sees it as an opportunity to get her hands on the money hidden in the church walls. While Pablo refuses to tell them the location, she & Bastian try to persuade him that he can pursue his queer sexuality away from this world & he somewhat complies.
Magdalena & Oscar are equally shocked but are relieved that they started everything in their own name & not associated with Emilio anymore. However, Botardi mysteriously dies while the police were taking him to the station & in the news we see that the new administration (under Secret service control) has taken over office as Emilio has resigned.
A state of siege has been declared and the National Congress has been dissolved to restore law & order. However, Tadeo’s sacrifice doesn’t go to waste as we see that people are writing ‘Tadeo Lives’ on the walls, as the police officials walk on. It leaves a brim of hope amidst all the chaos, as many more people have joined the movement that Tadeo started. While Jonathan continues to do the same work with Yaeli, to help other people on the road.
