The First Responders Season 2 (소방서 옆 경찰서) will be the second instalment of the thriller K-drama series directed by Shin Kyung Soo and written by Min Ji Eun. The show stars Kim Rae-won as Jin Ho-gae, Son Ho-jun as Bong Do-jin and Gong Seung-yeon as Song Seol. The rest of the cast includes Jung Jin-woo, Lee Jung-hu, Ji Woo, Jung Sang-hoon, Kang Gi-doong, Son Ji-yoon, Woo Mi-hwa, Seo Hyun-chul, Lee Hwa-jung and more.
The emergency rescue drama centres around a hot-headed, stubborn police officer who follows unconventional ways to solve various impossible cases. Along with two firefighters, Bong Do-jin and Song Seol, the trio assists and cooperates to save innocent victims and bring them justice. The first season premiered on SBS TV on November 12, 2022, and aired every Friday and Saturday at 10 pm KST.

The First Responders Season 2 Predictions
The ones who have watched the episode finale of the first season will be able to relate to the viewers’ frustrations. The least expected element of the show was wrapping up the season in a gut-wrenching cliffhanger. Kim Rae-won’s character Jin Ho-gae and Son Ho-jun’s character Bong Do-jin both enter a burning parking lot to extinguish the fire in episode 12. As they were on the mission, a sudden explosion occurred inside the space, and the episode ended while displaying the reactions of their fellow panicking co-workers attempting to rescue them.
The entire season had exciting stories, and an episode was never dull. The plot consistently improved each week and had seamless character development. A similar storyline is expected from the upcoming season.

The new season will have a lot of new revelations, but the most important question is, does Jin Ho-gae and Bong Do-jin survive? We expect to see more of Ho-gae, the show’s lead character, but Do-jin’s fate remains uncertain. It is possible that the character might not be returning to the show’s second part. The fans are also predicting the same and have begun to express their sadness on social media platforms.
However, we still have yet to see a reconciliation between Ho-gae and his father, The Chief Prosecutor, and we might finally receive our much-needed conclusion. It will also be interesting to watch how the story unfolds after the death of Ma Joong-do and how it affects each character, especially Ma Tae-Hwa and Jin Cheol-joong. It is also expected that the blooming romance between Song Seol and Ho-gae might finally turn into a beautiful relationship.
The First Responders Season 2 Release Date
The new season of the K-drama will be released in July 2023. A date confirmed date has not been announced yet. The First Responders is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
