To My Beloved Thief Episode 10 Recap
Episode 10 opens with a touching flashback between Min-jik and Yi Yeol. Min-jik speaks honestly about everything Eun-jo has sacrificed for him. Once a respected minister, Min-jik lost his career when he chose to stand against the King. Through it all, Eun-jo stayed strong for her father. Min-jik admits how deeply he loves his daughter and how guilty he feels for the burden she has carried. Yi Yeol listens quietly and promises Min-jik that Eun-jo will never be left to suffer alone.
After the time skip, Eun-jo wakes in her room, only to face the painful reality of her father’s death. Grief quickly turns into fury. Convinced that the King is responsible, Eun-jo climbs a distant mountain and shoots an arrow in revenge. But instead of striking the King, the arrow hits Yi Yeol, who steps in to protect his brother. Because Eun-jo fires from far away, she does not realise who she has injured.

Jae-i quickly stops Eun-jo before she can act further and warns her that she will destroy herself if she continues. Days pass as the town mourns Min-jik. Ministers and villagers come to pay their respects, while the palace hides darker secrets. The King lies in a deep sleep, weakened by special incense burned by his concubine. No one yet understands that the incense is causing dangerous hallucinations.
Yi Yeol recovers from the wound and tries to visit Eun-jo, but she pushes him away. She feels powerless, believing that no one can truly challenge the King. Meanwhile, the investigation into the attempted assassination begins. The soldiers suspect Min-jik’s son, Dae-il, even though everyone knows he is harmless and simple-minded.

When the guards arrive, Eun-jo prepares to confess that she is the real assassin. Before she can speak, Jae-i steps in and pretends to threaten her. He cleverly changes the story, claiming the arrow was found in a nearby stream and that the attacker is someone else. His quick thinking protects Eun-jo from immediate arrest. Yi Yeol also supports the lie, determined to keep Eun-jo safe.
Later, Eun-jo realises her anger is slowly destroying her. She asks Jae-i about the man who was wounded by her arrow. When she learns it was Yi Yeol, guilt overwhelms her. That night, Eun-jo secretly meets Yi Yeol. Instead of blaming her, he gently comforts her and assures her that he is fine. His kindness only deepens her emotional conflict.

Soon after, Eun-jo visits the nun and quietly reveals her dangerous plan to rise against the King. Her heart is torn between justice and revenge. At the palace, the King finally wakes. It is revealed that the incense caused his earlier madness. In his hallucination, he saw Min-jik as a wild lion and shot him. Still unaware of how ill he truly is, the King summons Dae-il and accuses him of plotting assassination. The punishment is about to be severe.
Yi Yeol rushes in just in time and boldly tells the King the truth. He says the King himself is responsible. At the same moment, Eun-jo runs to save her brother. In the chaos, fate intervenes once more and their bodies swap again.

As panic fills Yi Yeol’s mind, one terrifying thought remains. Eun-jo is now in his body, standing before the King. And if her rage takes control, the palace may soon drown in blood.
To My Beloved Thief Episode 10 Review
Episode 10 walks in carrying grief and walks out dragging chaos behind it. Eun-jo’s pain after Min-jik’s death feels raw, heavy and unfiltered, and the way it morphs into revenge makes total sense. Her decision to shoot the King is impulsive, emotional and human, but the twist of Yi Yeol taking the hit instead adds a sharp emotional punch. Suddenly, revenge is no longer heroic, it’s guilty. Jae-i once again proves he is the unofficial saviour of the series, flipping the investigation like a chess master while the palace stays busy accusing the wrong people.

What really spices the episode is the emotional tension between Eun-jo and Yi Yeol. He gets wounded and still chooses comfort over blame, which somehow hurts more than anger ever could. Add the incense-fuelled King hallucinating lions, political madness, and then boom, another body swap at the worst possible second. The episode ends not with peace, but with panic, because Eun-jo now stands in Yi Yeol’s body, face to face with the man who killed her father. Episode 10 doesn’t whisper danger, it flirts with it.
