The Accident Season 2 Ending Explained

Season two starts with Emiliano and Charro in prison, the former for manslaughter for killing his child and his friends in a freak accident in season 1 and the latter for the murder of Moncho and Barroso. Although Charro expects to get out of prison thanks to his lawyer, Ulises, the judge eventually rules against him and sends him to life in prison. Desperate to get out, he create a riot in prison, using which he not only stabs Emilino but also uses as a shield to escape.

Emiliano is thankfully saved, and eventually gets to go home because of Charro’s attack while the latter goes on the run. Trying to meet up with Lupe, he stumbles upon her having an affair with Ulises, and gets overcome with anger. He then takes refuge with his ex-wife Tamara, who wants revenge against Lupe for taking Charro from her.

In a game of revenge and grief, it’s Alex who suffers the most as he not only has to face the heartbreak of his father being a convicted felon but also the revelation that his mother is the one who put the hit on Moncho and Barroso to take revenge for her son’s death and then framed Charro to get rid of him.

Confused and suffering, Alex tells Charro everything, who decides to take revenge against Lupe for ruining his life.

In a confrontation orchestrated by Tamara, Charro faces off against Ulises and Lupe, and a shootout breaks out. Emiliano, too, gets there, having followed this entire ordeal from the start. Ulises is eventually shot, and Lupe makes her escape, but in the chase, her car overturns. However, surprisingly, Charro isn’t able to shoot her because he still loves her, but Emiliano takes this opportunity to shoot Charro as Lupe falls unconscious beside his dead husband.

What happens to Lupe?

In the aftermath, Lupe is caught and accused of the previous murders, and although she goes free at first, it’s Alex’s testimony that lands him in prison. Seeking revenge, Yolanda gives her a poison-laced chocolate bar that she consumes and dies.

Do Emiliano and Daniela get back together?

Although Emiliano and Daniela have their fair share of problems throughout the runtime, even separating for a while, they eventually get back together after working closely on Charro’s case. Emiliano does a grand gesture to win Daniela’s heart and, in the end, although everything is not perfect, they end up trying.

Throughout the runtime, we see all the characters struggling with guilt and grief after the events of the first season. However, at the end of season 2, everyone attempts to move forward with their grief, including Daniela, in their own ways. The series ends on a hopeful note that even though moving on seems impossible sometimes, it’s also the only way to live.
