Taxi Driver Season 3 Episode 7 Recap
Taxi Driver Season 3 Episode 7 dives deeper into the murky world of match fixing as the Rainbow Taxi team uncovers the truth behind a suspicious series of losses. Their investigation soon reveals that Seung-uk, the team’s coach, has been manipulating matches through his young libero, Yeong-tae. Bribed with money and promises of a better future, Yeong-tae deliberately fumbles plays, creating chaos on the court while ensuring the opponent’s victory. All of this is orchestrated to benefit the gambling ring Seung-uk secretly feeds.
Suspicion grows when Ji-hoon, one of the players, notices uneasy exchanges between Seung-uk and Yeong-tae. Sensing danger, Seung-uk quickly arranges for thugs to injure Ji-hoon, forcing him into silence and removing any potential threat. Alarmed by the growing danger surrounding the team, Do-gi steps in with a new plan. He decides to shadow Dong-hyeon and Seung-uk, hoping that by getting close to them he can finally uncover the whereabouts of Min-ho.

As Dong-hyeon loses control over his gambling habits and panics over the failing gym, Do-gi confronts him with an unexpected gesture. He returns the gym to Dong-hyeon, telling him he no longer wants it. Suspicious, Dong-hyeon asks why, only for Do-gi to calmly reveal that he is Min-ho, the very man Dong-hyeon believes is dead. Shocked and already drunk, Dong-hyeon is drugged by the team so they can execute their plan without interference.
When Dong-hyeon wakes up, he finds himself inside the gambling den in the gym with Do-gi beside him. Do-gi claims that Dong-hyeon brought him there, pretending to be impressed by their match fixing scheme and expressing interest in joining. Terrified, Dong-hyeon refuses the idea because he knows Seung-uk will kill him if he is implicated. Meanwhile, Do-gi adopts another disguise, transforming into Lorenzo Kim, a charismatic Russian scouting agent. This persona immediately captures Yeong-tae’s attention. Believing Lorenzo is genuinely interested in taking him to Europe, Yeong-tae becomes greedy for recognition and decides to show off his true skills on the court, abandoning Seung-uk’s directions.

As Dong-hyeon and Seung-uk discuss the strategy for the final match, Do-gi crashes the meeting on purpose. This pushes Dong-hyeon over the edge, prompting him to confess the entire scheme to Seung-uk. Furious, Seung-uk decides to eliminate Do-gi. In a swift attack that catches Do-gi off guard, Seung-uk attempts to kill him by crashing the car they are in. Do-gi leaps out just in time, leaving the villains to believe he burned to death in the explosion.
With Do-gi presumed dead, Yeong-tae celebrates his newfound hope. On the day of the decisive match, he plays brilliantly and leads his team to victory. But after the match, he boldly tells Seung-uk that he should apologise to Min-ho. Seung-uk freezes, then panics further when he spots a man walking away who looks exactly like Min-ho. Chaos breaks out as Dong-hyeon arrives shouting that Min-ho is alive, sending Seung-uk spiralling into paranoia.

Desperate for answers, Seung-uk runs to the burial site where he left Min-ho’s body. Digging frantically, he finally sees the corpse and laughs in relief. Watching from a distance, Do-gi informs his team that Min-ho has been located. At that moment, the episode shifts to a new villain who manages an illegal fighting ring where men are abused. Seung-uk calls him in distress, but the man orders him to meet. The episode ends sombrely with Seung-cheol showing Dong-su the sky, thinking of Min-ho.

Taxi Driver Season 3 Episode 7 Review
Episode 7 maintains the strong momentum of the series by expertly balancing emotional tension, gritty action, and psychological manipulation. The episode’s exploration of corruption in sports feels grounded and disturbing, especially through the naïve Yeong-tae who becomes both victim and pawn in Seung-uk’s scheme. Do-gi’s layered disguises keep the tension alive, especially his turn as Lorenzo Kim which adds a clever comedic undertone to an otherwise heavy episode.

The paranoia that consumes Seung-uk becomes the highlight as the line between guilt and fear collapses around him. The final sequence, featuring the introduction of a sinister new villain, shifts the arc into darker territory. Episode 7 succeeds by deepening the mystery, raising emotional stakes, and preparing the ground for the explosive confrontations to come.
