BTS band member SUGA, who also goes by the name Agust D for his solo projects, has a new documentary special coming out on Disney+ and the SUGA Road to D-Day teaser gives us the first sneak peek into what is coming. The artist will be seen making a road trip to cities like Seoul, Tokyo, Las Vegas, Malibu, San Francisco and others. He is seen taking nighttime strolls, charting aeroplanes and making his way through cities all alone while reminiscing old experiences featuring his band members.
In the teaser, we see SUGA going in an aeroplane to cities worldwide, embarking on this adventurous journey with a camera crew and a wanderlust spirit. There are different graphics showing the cities he will be visiting, which is just the tip of the iceberg in his long travel across the continents. Looking down from the window and seeing the world so small from the plane is indicative of how he will be feeling the exact opposite when he goes around this city in a car.
We are then shown a fast-cutting montage of his performances in black and white, perhaps speaking to what the last year or at least the last few months have been like for the artist. Then there are some scenic shots of the cities he has been going around, the beauty of all that the world has to offer. The way the skies turn cotton candy pink and the way the light shines off a building. The fact that all this has been documented is a testament to the fact that SUGA wanted his fans to see the world through his lens.
This is his first time walking down the street, and he is excited to do something so mundane, just as he is excited to play sold-out shows or make world records with his music. He notes how he has never done this before and is a completely new experience he has dived into headfirst, adding that he hasn’t even done this in Korea. The teaser ends by showing him driving the car and listening to some music to keep him company in this convertible where the hood is open.
