In the last episode of Single’s Inferno Season 4, we saw a ton of Paradise dates where the couples get to know each other better. However, things got spicy when Jun-seo and Si-an get under the covers together – is this the start of something that will leave the panellists and viewers shocked?

Single’s Inferno Season 4 Episode 8 Recap

Episode 8 opens with Jun-seo and Si-an under the covers in bed together which leaves the hosts totally shocked. However, that’s about as shocking as it gets but the hosts mention that although they are showing interest in one another now, things can change at any point. The next morning, with the dates over, the Paradise couples come back to Inferno and all of the hosts can’t help but notice how close Si-an and Jun-seo have become but still wonder whether she can sway after going back to reality.

Amid anticipation, things get a bit uncomfortable after everyone gets together and emotions soar. The men and women separately get together and discuss their dates, but they are interrupted when they are called for a match to go to Paradise. It’s a men’s wrestling game, which immediately makes the women nervous. In the Jeong-su vs Jong-hoon match, the former wins; in the Jun-seo vs Dong-ho match, Jun-seo wins; in the Theo vs Te-hwan match, Te-hwan wins. In a showdown match among the winners, Jun-seo comes first, Jeong-su is second, and Te-hwan is third.

Afterwards, the contestants are asked to talk to their person of interest and everyone rushes to get to each other. Theo opens up to Si-an once again and clears the air with Jun-seo while Dong-ho and Hae-lin have a conversation, followed by You-jin. Min-seol talks to Jun-seo as well, which seems to not go anywhere, but his conversation with Si-an is sweeter. For some reason, Ji-yeon tells Te-hwan to pick someone else to test his own feelings which feels like a classic case of self-sabotage (remember David Rose from Schitt’s Creek).

In the end, Jun-seo chooses Si-an, as expected, leaving everyone shocked (but not really).

With episodes that have competitions, I am immediately more interested. However, the long drawn-out discussions surrounding the same topics are dragging the season down. I think, at this point, we really need to cut down on the episodes’ runtimes because a lot of what the contestants are saying tread similar paths. Especially with everyone feeling confused and all. I also find it a little annoying that we are constantly gravitating towards a few contestants instead of exploring everyone. Although that was disturbingly apparent in the last season, this season is focusing a bit too much on Si-an for my liking. But then again, when half the people like one person, there’s only so much the audience can be shown. I am hoping that the next few episodes have something more interesting though.
