Rulers of Fortune Ending Explained: When Profeta bursts into Rio de Janeiro’s gambling scene, his adversaries do not take his intrusion kindly. However, he has a few nasty tricks up his sleeve to claim dominance over everyone who opposes him.

The series opens with Profeta coming to the gambling scene to prove to everyone that he has what it takes to lead. However, to be at the top, he has to push Búfalo off, an ex-MMA fighter who has gone to the top after marrying Guerra heiress Suzana. Sneaky and scheming, Profeta makes his way to Búfalo’s inner circle, starting an affair with his sister-in-law and turning his empire upside down by stealing and then tampering with his slot machines.

Suzana is instantly suspicious of Profeta, while he brings Mirna in as a business partner to rival Búfalo and Suzana’s team. In the midst of this is French businessman Laurent tries to make his way into the Rio gambling market as the government toys with the idea of making gambling legal.

As Mirna and Profeta desperately try to double-cross Búfalo and Suzana, the latter lays a trap that Mirna takes, resulting in them realising the scam that her sister is running. Profeta is shot, and this gives Búfalo the clue that he’s in on the scam too. As Profeta fights for his life, Leila is left distraught as we are told that he’s her son, whom she has kept a secret for all of these years.

In order to sway his father’s business to her, Mirna takes matters into her own hands and pins Profeta’s injury on Búfalo, citing that he was unhappy with her dating Profeta, who works under him. After Búfalo wrecks his defence, the board is left to ponder whom to believe, while Profeta, to make a grand impression, meets Galego and makes a solid impression on him.

Búfalo vs Profeta – who wins?

After Profeta and Mirna get married and present a united front, they take over Angra, starting an all-out war with Búfalo and Suzana. Both men fight with one another, setting the city into a frenzy and leaving a ton of people dead. As the fighting escalates, Profeta attacks Búfalo’s gym in Galego’s area, leaving him incensed and Mirna disappointed.

As the board tries to control the situation, Jorge Guerra dies, and at this funeral, Búfalo does the ultimate betrayal and plants a bomb to kill Profeta. Riva is killed instead, and this instantly makes everyone take a stand against Búfalo, including Suzana.

Profeta and Mirna eventually join hands with Suzana and promise to share the power and the money with her equally if she helps them to kill Búfalo. In a surprising twist, Suzana agrees, but in an even more surprising progress, Profeta works ahead and has Búfalo murdered on his way to the ball.

Does Profeta fulfil his dreams?

The more he rises in the ranks, the more Profeta loses people behind him. Desperate to prove himself, he quashes Suzana’s attempts at getting back at him mercilessly. Mirna is annoyed with him, but there’s only so much he can do. With the future looking bright, he joins hands with the others on the board as new members join with Xavier’s death.

Is Profeta and Leila’s secret revealed?

Before dying, Xavier writes down the truth about Leila being Profeta’s mother to Galego, but Profeta gets there before anyone and keeps the letter to himself, thus keeping their secret safe and Leila’s identity a secret from Galego.
