Elite Season 6 Ending Explained: Did Ivan Die? Who is Responsible for the Accident? Is Season 7 Happening?

Elite Season 6 was released on Friday, and it was another weak season. The makers introduced us to more new characters, but that did nothing to the plot. The show stars Valentina Zenere as Isadora Artiñán, André Lamoglia as Iván Carvalho, Martina Cariddi as Mencía Blanco Commerford, Carla Díaz as Ariadna “Ari” Blanco Commerford, Manuel aka Manu Ríos as Patrick Blanco Commerford, Diego Martín as Benjamín Blanco, Carloto Cotta as Cruz Carvalho, Álex Pastrana as Raúl and Carmen Arrufat as Sara.

Who Died in Elite Season 6?

In the last season, a group of angry fans killed Iván’s father, Cruz Cavalho, he opened up publicly that he was gay. At a party, Iván gets drunk, and Patrick calls Cruz to take him home. On his way to get his son, these men attack Cruz and leave him dead on the streets.

Even Iván has had a pretty bad time in the entire season. The show begins with him getting hit by a car. We are then taken back to a series of events that lead to this accident. The last episode is focused on Iván’s accident. Is he dead? Read on.

Elite Season 6 Ending Explained: Did Iván die? Who hit him?

In the last episode, we are first shown that Mencía hits Iván with Patrick’s car. Raúl spikes Mencía’s drink at the party after seeing his girlfriend Sara getting close to her. Hence, Mencía has no memory of how she hit Iván. Patrick takes Iván to the hospital, where his condition is critical. Mencía tells everything to her sister Ari about the accident. Ari suggests they help their father, Benjamín, to release from prison, leave the country, and start a new life. She says how their life will never be good if they stay here.

Patrick is devastated to see the only person he truly loved fighting with death. He is unaware of everything. But the sisters convince him to leave with the family. They all are confident that Iván will not make it. Ari, who also got pregnant with Iván’s child, never told anyone from her family about it.

However, we later find out that Sara was driving the car. She was trying to help a drugged and drunk Mencía and was taking her home. Sara hits Iván with Patrick’s car. She gets scared and calls her abusive boyfriend, Raúl, for help. Raúl takes advantage of the situation and switches the place of unconscious Mencía in the driver’s seat. Hence, when Mencía wakes up, she believes that she hit Iván.

Now, coming to Iván. In a semi-conscious state in the hospital bed, Iván takes Patrick’s name. But his boyfriend has left with his family. So Iván is not dead. The episode also ends with Isadora and Dídac’s kiss. Suddenly, someone from a moving car starts shooting at the kids of Las Encinas.

Is Elite Season 7 Happening?

Netflix has already renewed the Spanish show for season 7, which is also the last one. Elite Season 7 season will focus on Iván coping with the loss of his father, his accident and his boyfriend leaving him without letting him know. Raúl and Sara’s abusive relationship will become more toxic as he knows her big secret. Isadora and Dídac’s family don’t go along. So we will also find out who the shooters were and if anyone died due to the gunshots.
