-Wedding Games Review Does Not Contain Spoilers-
The movie revolves around the story of a couple, Eva and Alex, who are immensely in love with each other. After many years of staying together, they decide to tie the knot and renounce their love to the world. They start planning their wedding, and everything goes perfectly until things start to go downhill. A big company decided to meet with Alex as they were interested in his game the day before the wedding. On the other hand, Eva’s dress did not get delivered in time which raises concern.
When one thing onto the other starts to pile up, they both start feeling unsure of the decision they made as well as their feelings for each other. As things typically go, both of them faced a lot of problems which also forced them to look beneath the happy smiles and reevaluate their unresolved issues.
The story takes us through various instances where the problems escalate and lead to bigger disasters. Through the external problems, it also efficiently showcases the internal problems of the couple. They both had doubts about one another and could not fully rely on each other, even though they were in love. This shows how unaddressed issues in a relationship only lead to further miscommunication.

Nevertheless, instead of taking a traditional approach of staying together by defying the odds while overlooking the aftermath. The plot takes an unpredictable and mature turn where it provides a realistic view of romantic relationships rather than a whimsical world of love with no accountability.
Moreover, the movie contains a lot of hilarious and fun moments. What looks like a joyous time with family soon turns chaotic and uncomfortable. But everyone learns to accept each other’s shortcomings because that is what being a family means, right? Most importantly, there are instances where women of two generations bond through trauma and rise together with resilience.
However, although the film is a fun watch, it could definitely make improvements in some aspects. At one point, the story turns into a mess of its own which leads to no conclusion. Suddenly everything becomes right when convenient, even though they are knee-deep in dangerous situations. The plot is also not as unique and can predict what will happen next from miles away.

This lighthearted romantic comedy effortlessly blends humour and charm, providing a delightful escape without delving into the complexities of profound emotions. The film navigates the intricacies of love with a witty touch, leaving audiences with a warm, fuzzy feeling rather than pondering the depths of the human heart. While it may not dive deep into the issues, its playful banter and comedic moments ensure an enjoyable experience that doesn’t take itself too seriously. After an hour of watching Eva and Alex facing their own demons, one will be left satisfied with the perfect happy ending.
