Rains in Heaven: NCT DREAM Gears Up to Release New English-Language Single

On August 9, SM Entertainment revealed exciting news for NCT DREAM fans worldwide. The popular K-pop group is preparing to drop a new English-language single titled Rains in Heaven later this month. The digital release is scheduled for August 23 at 1 p.m. KST.

Rains in Heaven is expected to showcase a nostalgic 1980s vibe, blending emotional synth sounds with modern pop elements. Fans can look forward to heartfelt lyrics co-written by NCT DREAM’s leader, Mark. The song aims to provide listeners with a sense of warmth and comfort, embodying a message of hope during challenging times.

In a surprising turn, Renjun, who has been on hiatus due to health issues, will be making a comeback for this single. While fans have eagerly awaited his return, SM Entertainment emphasized that Renjun’s health remains the top priority. Although he will be participating in the Rains in Heaven promotions and other related content, Renjun will not be joining NCT DREAM for the U.S. leg of their ongoing THE DREAM SHOW 3: DREAM( )SCAPE concert tour.

The decision was made following medical advice, as it’s still too early for him to handle the demands of a full tour schedule. SM Entertainment assured fans that Renjun’s involvement in future activities will be determined based on his health, with further updates to be provided in due course.

The new single marks NCT DREAM’s first release following their July 2024 studio album, ISTJ. The album, which dropped just seven months after their previous project “Candy,” has been met with widespread acclaim, solidifying the group’s position as one of K-pop’s leading acts. “ISTJ” also coincided with the wrap-up of their highly successful The Dream Show 2: In A Dream concert tour.

As anticipation builds for the upcoming release NCT DREAM continues to demonstrate their versatility and commitment to connecting with a global audience. The single is set to be a significant release, particularly with Mark’s personal touch on the lyrics and Renjun’s return to the spotlight, making it a must-listen for fans around the world.
