My Hero Academia Final Season Episode 4 Recap
The episode opens with a deep dive into All For One’s past, exploring the roots of his warped psychology. Born as one of two fraternal twins to a struggling mother numbing her pain through alcohol, All For One came into the world, taking everything he could: his mother’s Quirk, his brother’s nourishment, and ultimately, control itself. From the very beginning, his sense of ownership bordered on obsession. To him, anything he claimed was his forever, including his brother, whom he refused to let go of even in spirit.
As his cruelty intensified, Yoichi tried desperately to reach the faint traces of humanity within him, but his efforts failed. When Kudo intervened to save Yoichi, All For One’s possessiveness turned murderous; he chose to kill rather than lose what he saw as his.

All For One begins to view Bakugo as Kudo, someone who, in his mind, “stole” Yoichi from him. This connection fuels his rage, making Bakugo his new fixation. Setting aside all larger ambitions, All For One charges into a one-on-one confrontation, marking one of the series’ most intense battles. We witness a new evolution of All For One’s power and, in contrast, how much Bakugo has matured as a hero.

My Hero Academia Final Season Episode 5 Review

Now that All For One is dead, the bigger threat in front is Shigaraki Tomura. He is a much bigger issue because he runs on his pure sense of evil, which is fueled by his hatred. Every hero started planning on how to take him down early on, and they agreed that he should not be let loose in any way. If he even comes close to the ground, he will not only kill people but also destroy the city altogether, and Tomura himself confirms this hypothesis.
However, Deku faces a bigger challenge because we see that Tomura is now able to steal Deku’s powers one by one. This is a huge problem, as now, Tomura has literally become practically invincible. After stealing Deku’s quirk, Tomura can use it to evade attacks very efficiently. Later, the entities within Deku discuss whether they should run because it is so difficult to face off against Tomura.

But the villain quickly catches on, and he declares how he will destroy everything within his reach. Tomura plans to activate his quirk on Mount Fuji so that it erupts as a volcano, destroying everything in its path. Though Deku does a good job of beating him, his idea of rescuing Tomura, rather than killing him, is becoming an obstacle in his path to victory. He still feels that he will be able to save Tomura somehow rather than completely wipe him out.
Finally, everyone settles on one plan, which is too risky to execute, and this might cost Deku all his powers. However, this is their best bet, and hopefully, in the next episode, everything will come to a conclusion because of this.

Verdict
The animation and the high points of this episode were all on point, but I still think that things are rushing a bit. We should have gotten a bit more material before the end comes.
