Pseudo Harem Episode 3 Recap

Pseudo Harem Episode 4 Review Rin Wants To Date

In the latest heartwarming episode of this romantic comedy anime, we see Eiji proudly announcing that he has finally figured out how to become popular with girls. He believes he can now confidently talk to them and achieve his long-held dream of having his own harem. However, Rin is visibly upset by this news and quickly shifts into her acting persona to express her displeasure using characters from a harem. Eiji, confused by her reaction, tries to understand what’s going on but is unable to grasp the situation. We, however, know that Rin’s distress stems from her crush on Eiji.

The next part of the episode shifts focus, showing Rin taking on the role of the student council president. She even adopts the appropriate look with braids and glasses, making for another entertaining scene. The story then transitions to a segment where the main characters meet outside of school in their casual clothes for the first time. Despite Rin’s attempt to act like she doesn’t know Eiji, he quickly recognizes her even from behind.

The playful banter about Rin’s hair length adds to the humour and charm of the episode. In another segment, we see Rin taking on a senior role with new members of the theatre club. The episode concludes with a heartwarming moment where the couple enjoys looking through Eiji’s childhood photos together.

Pseudo Harem Episode 4 Review And Recap

Pseudo Harem Episode 4 Review Rin Wants To Date

We got another cute episode with many segments clubbed together. Here, we begin with the first part where Rin role plays with her friend Megu, to soothe her aching heart. She makes Megu act like her senpai and outright confesses that she wants to date him. But she obviously doesn’t have the courage to say it to the person himself and she laments at her fate where she is making her friend act like this.

In the next segment, we saw Rin sleeping in front of Eiji. He then proceeds to gently talk to her and reply to her sleep-talking. The scene was hilarious as Rin was saying whatever came to her mind. When a situation of indirect kissing came, none of them handled the situation maturely and entertained us thoroughly with their antics. I laughed especially hard when Rin was saying me too constantly after Eiji said I like you as a joke. Even after all this, Eiji is so dense that he cannot get that Rin is in love with him.

Another funny segment was when Rin was trying to wink and she couldn’t, while Eiji could do it right away. The more she tried to wink the more she struggled to open one eye and keep her mouth close. It was indeed cute yet funny. Another entertaining segment was when Eiji got hurt and Rin pretended to be the nurse of the school. With her immense acting skills, she can add any character to her harem for her man. Here, she also finally made Eiji say her name rather than her surname.

We’re also understanding more about the characters themselves. Usually, Rin stays quite shy and demure but slowly she’s becoming quite the devious one as she has started to push Eiji’s buttons. One great example of this is when they were playing games and after finding out that she was distracting Eiji, Rin distracted him even more. She also started to show more of her desires albeit in her mind, like wanting to visit Eiji’s house again. Not only that, but she even says out loud that she wants to live in the same house as Eiji. However, he obviously did not get the meaning behind it.

Verdict

I like the playful and short but sweet episodes that show us the beauty of innocent love. It is cute but it’s never enough and this kind of love story gives us some healing from the realities of life. I will definitely recommend this.
