The cliffhanger of episode 2 had its end in episode 3. For some, it could be a heartbreaking moment, whereas, for the rest, that’s what they wished for, perhaps. Episode 3 continued the previous quest where the 100 contestants will fight one on one. So far, a handful of matches passed by, and some of them were rigid and painful. In fact, one particular match between a woman and a man was utterly merciless.
In the third episode, some of the matches were not shown fully due to time constraints; hence only the winner of each match with a small snippet from their fight was shown. This might seem unfair, but the editing team has done a brilliant job by giving every participant an equal amount of screen time. Some important figures like national players and interesting matches were shown fully.
Mainly, BBulkup’s match was really effective because the man literally ran like a squirrel. Similarly, other notable matches were shown, and it all had something to watch out for. Speaking of eliminations, unexpected participants were defeated, leaving the remaining participants to panic. However, it imposed that the following quests will be more terrific than this one.
It was great to see how agility and strength needn’t have to be only for an MMA fighter or so, but even a fitness YouTuber can ace the match. The diversity of the show really captivates the viewers, and along with that, the matches between contestants, regardless of gender, are a key aspect of this show.
The episode ended with Choo Sung-hoon fighting with Shin Dong-guk in Arena A. Dong-guk is Sung-hoon’s MMA junior, and he clearly wanted to have the honour of fighting with the 48-year-old legend. The fight for the ball was intense between them both. As expected, the episode ended with a cliffhanger, and we will know who got the ball only in the fourth episode
There isn’t anything special to talk about in this episode, as it was merely the continuation of the 2nd episode’s quest. However, the shocking eliminations, violence and unexpected pairing of contestants is the best part to look out for. Apart from this, leaving the audience without an ending increases their curiosity about what’s next, which is a good strategy imposed by the show’s team.
