My Dearest Nemesis Episode 2 Recap
Su-jeong wakes up with the biggest regret of her life—humiliating her new boss, aka the Black Dragon himself, Ju-yeon. She barely escapes the awkward situation and bolts to her desk, but little does she know, Ju-yeon is already plotting his revenge. He sees her as a threat and, for reasons neither of them quite remember (ahem, their gaming past), they now officially hate each other.
Ju-yeon, now in full petty mode, makes Su-jeong’s work life a nightmare, mocking her at every opportunity and making sure the whole office knows she’s enemy number one. Her colleagues warn her to stay on his good side, but no matter what she does, he remains the world’s most annoying boss. She tries extending an olive branch by buying him chocolate milk—because that’s what normal people do, right? But Ju-yeon, being the insufferable man-child he is, turns it down. Later, she catches him in a ridiculous tug-of-war with a kid over a toy. Of course, he acts cool in front of her, pretending it’s all for the child. Smooth, Ju-yeon. Real smooth.

That night, the office crew heads out for dinner, and just when Su-jeong thinks she’s safe, Ju-yeon crashes the party. Panicked, she lies and pretends it’s a welcome dinner for him. Things escalate quickly into a legendary soju battle, where neither backs down. The rest of the team wisely bails, leaving these two lunatics to drink each other into oblivion. Eventually, Ju-yeon, now hilariously drunk, starts mumbling about chocolate milk like a lost toddler. Su-jeong, being the responsible mess that she is, gets him his drink and dumps him in a cab.
The next morning, Ju-yeon wakes up with one thought—revenge. When he hears Su-jeong bragging about her drinking victory, his fragile ego shatters. He storms into the office and publicly roasts her. Furious, Su-jeong marches into his cabin, ready to throw hands, only for him to casually suggest she resign. The audacity! Hurt but determined, she calls his bluff and quits. Ju-yeon’s secretary, seeing the chaos unfold, warns him to quit his childish antics before the staff stages a mutiny.
While sulking on the office terrace, Su-jeong learns the shocking truth—Ju-yeon isn’t just a working director. He’s the heir of Yongsung. Now drowning in regret, she decides to do what any rational person would do—stalk him for blackmail material. She follows him that night and, surprise, surprise, catches him partying it up in a nightclub. Armed with her phone, she snaps a few scandalous pics and sends them to him. Moments later, Ju-yeon shows up at her home, livid and demanding a meeting.
They end up at a fast-food joint, where he shoves a contract in her face. The terms? They’ll pretend to tolerate each other and follow a set of rules to keep the workplace drama-free. Su-jeong, being no fool, signs it immediately. The next day, the office is in total confusion—why are these two suddenly being nice to each other? Suspicious. Very suspicious.
As if things couldn’t get weirder, Ju-yeon invites Su-jeong to a fancy party, even buying her a dress for the occasion. Rich people problems aside, she reluctantly agrees. At the party, the elite swarm Ju-yeon, taunting him for his past. Meanwhile, an entirely different love story unfolds elsewhere—Ha-jin’s shop gets a visit from Shin-won, who saw her posts on social media. He brings his girlfriend, only to get dumped mid-meal. Ha-jin, witnessing his unshakable kindness, consoles him, hinting at something more to come.
Back at the party, disaster strikes when an entitled rich kid, noticing Su-jeong is a commoner, tries to get handsy. But Su-jeong doesn’t have any of it—she kneels him where it really hurts. Just as he raises a hand to retaliate, Ju-yeon swoops in like a vengeful knight, shoving the guy to the ground. The episode closes with Ju-yeon and Su-jeong locking eyes, the tension thick enough to cut with a knife. Chaos, romance, and a whole lot of drama—this is only the beginning!
My Dearest Nemesis Episode 2 Review
This episode is a chaotic masterpiece filled with pettiness, accidental romance, and enough workplace drama to fuel a hundred office gossip chains. Ju-yeon’s mission to make Su-jeong’s life miserable is nothing short of a comedy goldmine, from turning down her peace-offering chocolate milk to waging war over a children’s toy. Meanwhile, Su-jeong, the queen of bad decisions, decides that stalking her boss for blackmail is the perfect way to make amends. But let’s be honest—who isn’t living for their absurdly messy dynamic? Their soju-fueled showdown was pure entertainment, with Ju-yeon’s toddler-like request for chocolate milk sealing his fate as the most ridiculous yet oddly charming boss ever.
Just when you think things can’t get crazier, the two sign a contract to pretend they don’t want to strangle each other at work, only to immediately walk into an elite party where rich kids play their usual “who’s the most insufferable” game. But Su-jeong isn’t about to let some entitled brat push her around—cue her epic knee-to-the-groin moment. And just when it seems like things are about to explode, Ju-yeon swoops in like a drama king, leaving us with a tension-filled stare-down that screams enemies-to-lovers perfection. This episode is a delicious cocktail of disaster, tension, and absurdity, and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
