The MTV Europe Music Awards 2024 sponsored another fabulous night in Manchester on November 10, with headliners and newcomers side by side and the MTV EMAs 2024 winners were announced. Who performed at the MTV EMAs in 2024? Rhymes, RAYE, Benson Boone, Shawn Mendes, Teddy Swims, The Warning, LE SSERAFIM, Peso Pluma, and Tyla were some of the artists who brought amazing performances to the award show.
Taylor Swift dominated the night, claiming the title of Best Artist, Best Video for her collaboration with Post Malone on “Fortnight,” and also won the award for Best Live Performance. With seven nominations, including nods in Best Pop and Biggest Fans, Swift’s continued global influence was clearly celebrated. Close behind were Sabrina Carpenter and Ariana Grande, both competing in major categories like Best Song, where Carpenter’s “Espresso” clinched the win.
BLACKPINK’s Lisa shone as well, winning two prestigious awards. She not only took home the Biggest Fans award, celebrating her massive international following, but her collaboration with Rosalía on “New Woman” also won Best Collaboration. Meanwhile, BTS’ Jimin added to his group’s legacy by securing the Best K-Pop award, while rising girl group LE SSERAFIM won Best Push and performed a memorable set during the ceremony.
Ariana Grande claimed victory in Best Pop, showing her continued dominance in the genre. Other genre-specific winners included Eminem for Best Hip-Hop, Imagine Dragons for Best Alternative, and Calvin Harris for Best Electronic, illustrating the diversity and reach of the awards.
Among the regional acts, Tyla stood out by winning Best African Act and Best Afrobeats, marking a major highlight for African music on the international stage. The event also brought first-time nominations for artists like Kehlani and Tinashe, underscoring the EMAs’ role in spotlighting emerging and established talent across the world.
