Lovers Anonymous Ending Explained: The Turkish drama ends on an intriguing note which points to the possibility of another season. With Cem developing feelings for Cem and his ex-girlfriend Izlem making her return, things become a big mess for him. Will he get himself treated for this love disease? Will he return to the woman he once loved? Or will he make a move to gain Hazal’s love?

The plot of the show brings a clash between two individuals with varying ideas on the concept of love; while one has no trust in love the other shows him the power of love. Brought together by fate, the two have no other options but to work together at the Love Hospital started by Cem who has trust issues and doesn’t really believe in love. Along the way, the two begin to understand each other’s perspective and slowly fall into love, but will they ever make it work?

The show has 8 episodes, each with a runtime of approximately 50 minutes long.

The Love Hospital started by Cem is the place that is being talked about everywhere, as he treats those suffering from the love disease and brings an end to their heartbreak. However, he is personally against the idea of love after facing many betrayals in life and doesn’t like the idea of love. However, when the person taking his place on the screen for the world dies, he suddenly finds himself with a replacement who has a different idea of love.

Hazal has to escape Germany after officials find that her certificates are fake and she is running an illegal clinic. Left with no choice, she returns home only to have her father introduce her to the media as Cem, the person behind the Love Hospital. Desperately in need of money, she goes along with the plan but is unable to work together with Cem and his ideas of love.

However, as they begin to work together, feelings begin to surface and Cem is shocked by this discovery. He tries to escape from this love that he is feeling for Hazal, but with her breaking down his walls and helping him through his past traumas, he is unable to look away from her. Meanwhile, Hazal also begins to feel something for her, but will she be able to accept these feelings? Especially when Cem’s ex-girlfriend Izlem appears out of nowhere, claiming to still be in love with Cem.

What Happens to Izlem?

Izlem arrives at the Love Hospital asking for help, telling Cem that she is here for treatment. As Cem and Hazal take a look at her case together, she tells them that she is suffering from guilt after deceiving Cem. While he doesn’t care or want to take her case, Hazal admits her to the hospital and takes a look at her case. While Izlem tells them that she is in love with Cem and wants to get back together with him, Cem is not ready to believe her words.

Later from her test results, Cem finds out that she is suffering from a new love and wants to know what is really happening to her. While this remains a mystery to viewers as it is not revealed, it is sure that Izlem has a different motive for coming to the hospital.

Is Cem able to accept his love for Hazal?

Despite his aversion to love, as he finds his walls breaking down he begins to accept his love for Hazal. Cem is unable to look away from Hazal when at the mansion of their fashion designer couple clients and is filled with joy. As he looks forward to starting a new journey in love with Hazal as they go on the trip organised by their clients, he says goodbye to the illusion of his old self that is always around him at home.

However, he is soon filled with despair when Hazal doesn’t show up at the port where the ship was supposed to sail from. He then rushes to the airport in hopes of catching Hazal, as she was supposed to go to her grandmother’s house on the same day. Hoping to find her and give themselves another chance, he boards the plane only to find Hazal missing. He sits next to Hazal’s sister who is stunned by his arrival but tells him that he should have known better than to chase Hazal.

What Happens to Hazal?

Towards the end, we see Hazal in a therapy session where she admits that she is in love with the idea of love, however, she doesn’t wish to be involved in it. As her sister had made it clear on the call that Cem overheard, she is someone who runs away from love every time she falls for someone. She is unable to love anyone due to her past and this make her run away each time she finds someone whom she is falling in love with.

This is why, when Cem tries to give them a chance, she disappears and doesn’t appear at the port or the airport. Instead, we see her at therapy where she talks about love and herself.

Will there be a Season 2?

With Cem returning home after being betrayed by love once again, we see his fat self illusion reappear, telling us that this story is not over yet. There are also the lose ends left by Hazal’s sudden disappearance and Izlem’s arrival that need another season of the show to be revealed. Thus, we can surely expect a season 2 of the show. However, no news of the same has been announced as of yet, so we need to wait until another season is confirmed.
