Kill Boksoon Ending Explained
From what we know after watching the action film, Bok-soon emerges as the top contract killer in her company and also overtakes multiple rogue assignments. Even though she remains adamant about using her orthodox measure, her special relationship with the leader of the company, Cha Min-kyu, helps her in cutting some slack.
Moreover, Bok-soon is mildly successful in keeping everything a secret from her teenage daughter, who loves her mother but also despises her for not telling the truth. This back-and-forth argument with her daughter makes her revisit her career choice and look for a better future instead of becoming the top assassin at MK company.
During one of her last assignments, she reads the suicide letter of the kid whom she was meant to kill. This makes her reconsider her decision and sabotage the mission with the help of a young trainee. Even though Bok-soon plans everything perfectly, she leads herself into a strong enmity with Madam Cha, who makes an offer for her close associates to kill her.
The intense encounter ends in a total kill for Bok-soon and the trainee, who sideways with the veteran instead of eliminating her in the first place. Right after the duo leaves the murder spot, they are confronted by Cha Min-kyu, who expresses his anger against the top performer of his assassination troupe. However, upon learning the truth, he gives her the option of either rejoining the company or facing the wrath of rival gangs.
Bok-soon makes a hard decision, based on her daughter’s well-being. Meanwhile, both of them also share an emotional moment when Bok-soon embraces her daughter’s true self and appreciates her for coming out.
The rest of the movie pans out in a completely unpredictable manner when Bok-soon learns that Madam Cha and Cha Min-kyu had gotten the trainee killed to cover their tracks. This infuriates Bok-soon, who murders Madam Cha right on the spot and invites Cha-Min kyu for a duel.
Even though the MK company head overpowers Bok-soon in terms of strength and agility, he loses the battle because of her love for the assassin. This results in a big twist, as Cha Min-kyu makes sure that her daughter learns the complete truth related to her mother. At first, the assassin breaks down in fear of losing her daughter forever and manages to confront her with all her emotions. In the end, we get to see Bok-soon’s daughter accepting her true self and appreciating her for being there.
