Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 11 Overview

Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 11 Title

One of the most popular anime of our time, Demon Slayer, is back on our screens with the Swordsmith Village Arc. The newest series follows the 11-episode Season 2 of the show, which you can read all about here. The arc follows Tanjiro as he makes a trip to the swordsmith village to discover why the sword creator won’t remake his sword and meets something mysterious while there. Tanjiro nezuko Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 11

After having us believe in the previous episode that the final episode was just going to be a cut-and-dry killing of Upper Four, the show gave everyone a hell of a surprise with the events that went down in this episode. What was supposed to just be the final fight between Tanjiro, Nezuko, Genya, and Upper Four turned into an emotional rollercoaster that made my heart want to come out of my throat multiple times and, for a few moments, made me believe that the absolute worst had occurred.

See, this all started with Tanjiro and Nezuko. The show began with Tanjiro finding his entire family dead and Nezuko turning into a demon. Tanjiro fought to save her life and protect her, and he is still doing this even after Nezuko learned to look after herself. There is no show without the bond that these two share, and it has long been the show’s backbone. Thus, when this episode targeted that as the central conflict, it was absolutely devastating and worked phenomenally well. The anxiety levels were off the chart with Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 11.

There was also the matter of Chekhov’s sword, which Haganezuka had been guarding with his life and hadn’t been come into play yet. The show used that simmering plot point very well in the finale, and its need arose in a way that was extremely natural and felt right with the tone that the show was going for. Tanjiro was a righteous mad lad here, and for once, he didn’t come across as overbearing in the process of being so, maybe because he was actually backing up his words with his actions this time around.

Demon Slayer Season 3 Final Episode also featured two backstories of demons, which has been a point of personal displeasure for me every time they have been done in the past. The sheer length and attention paid to the smallest of demons were groan-inducing, but their usage here was much better, and I loved how it was done here. You got to know what Kibutsuji Muzan and Upper Four were all about without having to waste an entire episode and watch somebody who ultimately doesn’t matter get a swansong that few will care for. More of this, please.

Finally, the production. What more can be said about the production here except that I loved it? There was an insert song here, and those are always great in this series. Overall, I am very happy with how this last episode and this entire season turned out. There weren’t as many highs here as in the other two seasons, but there weren’t as many lows as well. This season remained consistent in quality throughout, which was very high. A perfect ending to cap off an emotionally resonating season!

Verdict

Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 11 was a powerful way to end a fantastic season of anime. The emotional highs of this episode will be tough to beat for the rest of the series.
