Blue Lock Episode 22 Preview: When, Where and How to Watch!

Blue Lock Episode 22 is the twenty-second episode of one of the most popular anime of this year. Blue Lock is a sports anime directed by Tetsuaki Watanabe and Hisashi Toujima and is based on an original manga written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yuusuke Nomura. The series is being animated by Studio 8bit.

The show follows Yoichi Isagi, a talented but unrefined striker who gets the opportunity of a lifetime after being invited to compete for and inside the Blue Lock, where Japan’s most talented football strikers have all been gathered to compete against each other. Yoichi might not be the strongest, fastest, sturdiest, or most technically gifted out of all the candidates gathered, but he still has a skill that helps him keep up with the others.

The first selection process saw the strikers compete against each other in teams of 11, just as a standard football match would be. After learning about each other’s strengths and abilities, Yoichi and his teammates, including Bachira, Chigiri, and Kunigami, cleared the first selection successfully. However, a lot of football is still left to play, and many players are still left to defeat!

Blue Lock Episode 22 Plot

The match is coming to a climax as Tokimitsu just scored an extremely vital goal for his team that was carefully seen through to the end by Itoshi Rin. The score is now 4-3 in favour of the red team, and Yoichi is on the back foot once again, trying to salvage whatever is left of this game. However, as we already saw, this is only one way that Yoichi will consider this chapter of his life closed- when he beats Itoshi Rin and his manipulation one on one.

Blue Lock Episode 22 Characters

Despite the main battle on the field being between Rin and Yoichi, the show has done a great job of keeping all the major characters in the fold. Nagi scored that spectacular goal, Chigiri has been vital in defence, and Barou did Barou things in the previous episode to neutralise Rin. In the same vein, Tokimitsu made some magic in the previous episode, and Aryuu did the same in the one before that. The only person who hasn’t done much, Bachira, appears to be the focal point of the next episode!

Blue Lock Episode 22 Predictions

Yoichi is going to get one in himself, just like Rin, to even up the scores, and his team is somehow going to come out on top. However, Bachira might not be in the best position to get selected for the team.

Blue Lock Episode 21 Recap

With Nagi evening up the score with his magic and Rin tasting defeat for the first time, he goes into serious mode and takes control of the entire field with nobody being able to stop him. However, the randomness of Barou wasn’t a force that even Rin could control, and Barou took his place back as the king of the field to even up the scores once again. However, Rin isn’t to be left far behind as he and Yoichi come on equal terms as playmakers while Bachira looks from the sidelines.
