I have tried my best to keep the review as spoiler-free as possible, but there are certain elements that I had to mention to give proper feedback.

A Condition Called Love Episode 3 Review and Recap – Hotaru Is Concerned
Be ready to be disappointed, as Hananoi and Hotaru do not kiss. The way the second episode of A Condition Called Love ended, everybody thought that our couple would definitely end up kissing, but what happens is that our main lead faints from fever. Hotaru quickly calls for Hananoi ‘s grandmother and realises that the reason why he was acting weirdly was because he was not feeling well. Hence, she felt guilty that she came up with such a nonsensical idea to kiss to find out if they love each other or not.
This guilt saddens her, and she continuously thinks about it for days. Here, we can clearly see how Hotaru is not at all confident in herself and is quick to take all the blame, even when it definitely is not her fault. She realises that she came off as insensitive, and it’s good to realise her own faults, but still, being so guilt-stricken about such a small matter, is not good for her emotional health.
The date on Christmas Eve was a pretty big thing for Hotaru for a special reason. She wanted to spend that day with her beloved as she usually spends it with her family. But now that Hananoi is sick and because Hotaru thinks that she offended him, Hotaru decides not to contact Hananoi and let him rest.
However, things are not that simple, as our main lead is not normal himself. He is someone who showers his partners with attention excessively, to the point of being too much. Previously, his relationships have ended because of this, and something like this will not deter him from reaching out to Hotaru. Thus, even when his Hotaru does not contact him, Hananoi goes to extreme lengths to reach where she was, even when he just recovered from a fever.
After that, what follows are some sweet moments between them and a revelation about why Hotaru wanted to feel special on Christmas Eve. One thing is for sure, Hotaru has definitely realised she is in love with Hananoi at this point, and she is just too embarrassed to admit it. Their relationship will continue, and I hope there will come a day when she will confess it to Hananoi herself.

Verdict
This episode was nice and cute as it showcased how overthinking can lead to problems that only exist in our heads. Relationships are definitely difficult to manage as two people with very different personalities, come together for it. But when well-matched people go into relationships, even problems find their solutions. This was truly a nice and heartwarming watch.
